Good pub with a traditional pub feel. Very reasonable food prices, with decent-sized portions, even with the 'small plate' option. Welcoming, pleasant and helpful staff. One slight downside is the two fireplaces don't have actual fires, just a 'fire-effect'... would be perfect on a cold winter's evening, although the place was otherwise well-heated. We'll be back 👍

Always like it here unless it's crazy busy with teenagers. Proper town pub without being a spoons.

Stayed in June on a overnight business trip with my wife. All good food and drinks and nice location in the town center.Dave was great and the staff were helpful. No problem with the room and breakfast was fantastic.We have booked again for a few days time for another overnight and looking forward to it.Very clean and the best pub accommodation we have stayed in.

I stayed here for one night after completing my Jurassic Coast walk raising money for Cancer Research. The owner and staff were all happy, friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, had a television, tea and coffee facilities and had a good shower. The bed was comfortable and I had a great nights sleep. I had dinner in the bar which was awesome and really good value for money. When I came down in the morning I had a really good full English breakfast. I would recommend this place to anyone. 👍

Our second visit for a Sunday lunch and it was as beautiful as our first visit last November. We can't wait for the live bands to start up, we will be booking a night in the accommodation when they do.
