White Lodge in Taunton Deane

Staff walked past while we was stood waiting for ages to be greeted and shown to our table, Staff was miserable looked liked they didn't want to be there. Except one lady who bought our drinks she was lovely. Food took ages to come and left on the side for ages. Didn't even say good bye when we left. An overall miserable first time to my local food spot. Won't ever go back.

So I've been staying here on and off for a week and half so far and will be staying again for work at the hotel.I've had breakfast and evening dinner in the restaurant and I must say some days are great some not so great. Some of the staff are lovely and really make you feel welcome there's a lady with short brown hair and a lady with long curly dark hair they are amazing and really do the restaurant justice!The other staff members are not so welcoming especially the lady with curly short dark hair.I was also a bit baffled as to why the people asked what time food is served until that no one knew for sure.The food was very hit and miss! And it's a shame there isn't a healthier option aswell apart from the 1 salad. Maybe add some more choices also in breakfast not much choice but I must say what I ate was normally very tasty.

Went for breakfast, we booked online and reserved a table which was very quick and easy to do. Had the continental breakfast which was very good value for money.Updated: went for an evening meal with family. Overall it was great however my burger was undercooked, not the worst of things but did spoil my meal. As usual the staff were great, very friendly and helpful.

Ordered a 12 oz fillet with upgraded fries, fillet was spot on, fries were in a tiny bowl with a tiny piece of beef brisket and were not worth the upgrade money. Son had a 8oz fillet which looked like a rump to me and was cremated. The sweet potato fries were decent though. Dessert was good. Average food for above average prices.

Stayed at premier in and had evening meal and breakfast at this beefeater.Food was fantastic and great value too.We had Simon wait on us breakfast time,(He made us very welcome )and it was cooked fresh rather than buffet so fabulous .We will definitely stay again and will look forward to eating here.

Stayed overnight at Premier Inn and popped into Beefeater for light evening meal. Hayley was very friendly, attentive and the food was hot and tasty. We went back for breakfast this morning, Hayley was there again and remembered us and chatted. Simon took our order, everything cooked fresh and very tasty. All staff were very friendly, ensuring our dining experience was an enjoyable one. Defo visit here again if we come back. Big thumbs up to Hayley and her hard working team , a credit to Beefeater 😃

Had breakfast twice here as stayed at the Premier Inn for a couple nights. D1 breakfast was buffet style. The eggs were cold, bacon under cooked, sausage was OK, fruits were frozen. D2 breakfast was made to order...scrambled eggs were well done, sausage and bacon well cooked and no frozen fruits... so luck of the day I guess. Dinner...the house salad had brocoli that was microwave so not edible...shame as the rest of the salad was good. Calamari was extremely salty....staff however were friendly and courteous.

Mixed experience but staff are lovely... Menu bored me, but order aload of sides and i enjoyed what i ate

We stayed at the Premier Inn next door fantastic hotelWe decided to pop over to the white Lodge for dinner, I had lasanga it was awful, runny and only warm the garlic bread I didn't notice on my plate it was so small, 8 chips to go with it . I was up all night with a stomach ache My partner had fish & chips his fish was warm looked half cooked the mussy peas were no more than a teaspoon worth and dried out and he only had 9 chips on his plate. the breakfast on the other hand was very nice freshly cooked and my partner ate his but I couldn't has my stomach was playing up from the night before mealI most definitely would not recommend eating here, the staff were nice but I felt that they wanted us out of there as quick as possible as we no sooner finished our meal and they gave us the bill. Which I must say it was very much over priced for the quantity of food we were given and the quality was appalling.Once again I highly recommend staying g at the Premier Inn it was faultless 5 star

The food was fine but there was a family with three young children on the next table making so much noise. Why do the servers think a mature couple wanting a quiet meal would want to sit next to them when the restaurant is almost empty?
