Beautiful setting but an extremely limited vegan and vegetarian menu. Staff seemed welcoming and polite. Guinness was good

Lovely oldy woldy pub, staff very attentive, food was amazing, maybe priced a little higher than other pubs but well worth it. Good sized portions.

Mussels, mussels and more mussels! Done 10 different ways every day. If you like seafood this is the place for you! Delicious, fresh seafood dishes, great service and good value. For those who aren’t seafood fans, the Sunday roasts are also delicious and great value.

We were sat by the hearth. Very cozy. Food was costly if we consider taking a whole family to dine-in but as a couple, it was alright and the time together was best spent splurging on good food anyway.

Good selection of seafood. Excellent service and good atmosphere. So good, I keep going back for the mussels especially!

I have been coming here for years and it never gets tired. I love it here. Now live in Italy, but I never miss my visit to the Anchor at least once every time I visit home. It's the best fish restaurant I know!! Keep doing what you're doing Anchor!! We all love you ❤️

Eaten twice here in recent days and can't fault the food and service. Done lunch and dinner and both times were pretty busy but food served in reasonable time. If you like mussels then this is the place to go! Stunning plates of them served in all different sauces. 👌 Try the shellfish sharing platter. It's huge!!

Went to the Anchor tonight to celebrate my wife’s birthday. We had the Shellfish selection for two people. It was huge! Lobster, mussels, prawns, razor clams. It also came with chips and bread! We also had a drink plus a dessert each. We thought it was excellent value for money. Service was first class. Fantastic setting. Highly recommended.

What a place!!I’d had a few people recommend this place for the best seafood and they were spot on.There were 3 of us and we went for the shellfish selection sharer for 2 and the the same for 1. To be honest the sharer for 2 could have covered 3 people with a side maybe. It was MASSIVE! We couldn’t finish it but took the left overs home. The staff were very friendly. Definitely worth giving them a try.
