Hidden gem - and where else on Dartmoor is serving decent food on Sunday evening? Vegetable antipasto was just delicious, so it was hard to make room for our pasta - meatballs and salmon both excellent. And BYO wine really helps.

Always amazing. The best, genuine, family-cooked Italian food in the South West (and probably the UK).

Really enjoyed our visit for a birthday celebration with family last night. Pizzas were excellent including the sidesalad and cappuccinos perfect. The service was very friendly and efficient. Having said that I expected the Pink pizza to have poached salmon and prawns rather than SMOKED Salmon and shrimps so was a bit dissdisappointed ing.Otherwise I would have given five stars.

Really great pizzas, delicious antipasto, and amazing tiramisu. Definitely worth stopping by.

We were absolutely blown away by Berto's Pizza. Literally, the best pizza we have ever had. There are many reasons to visit Moretonhampstead, but this one tops them all. Absolutely gobsmacked that this guy doesn't have a chain. Visit Berto's! You will not be disappointed.

What a find! You need to call or pop in to book a table but it’s well worth it.It’s a tiny restaurant that’s full of character with truly wonderful, friendly staff.The food is absolutely delicious and fairly priced.We had the lemon tiramisu for dessert - it was delicious!

Great Italian. Sat downstairs so some of the atmosphere was lost but great food and service at a reasonable price

Update Sept 2019:We came back to Berto's this year after thoroughly enjoying the food last year. Everything is the same as the last review. Food absolutely delicious!Original Sept 2018:We found this amazing place on our first night. We walked in with no reservation and got a table eventhough they were very busy. Service was personal and friendly. Food arrived very quick! It smelled lovely and tasted phenomenal. Never had Italian food better than here! We loved it so much we booked there and then for a few days later. Second visit didn't disappoint either. Will definitely return when in the area again!

Amazing vegan pizza!! I was so happy to discover such good vegan food. The people here are really lovely we highly recommend this authentic Italian restaurant, it has a really chilled and homely vibe. I've been twice now and really love it, It's BYOB too.
