Visited for a wedding and you could say they are like a well oiled machine, they know what they’re doing and do it well. The food what as to be expected nothing spectacular but all was delivered at the same time. Overall service was good and the happy couple have a lovely day.

My partner and I came here for dinner and had booked online which was an extremely easy process. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout the meal and the food was absolutely delicious. They have an entire gluten free menu, which is reduced from the main menu but still has a lot to offer. Not only was the food, staff and atmosphere great but the price wasn't to be grumbled at either. Two courses each, an alcoholic drink each and a soft drink was just under £60.00.Overall its perfect for a date night and definitely ideal for anyone who is gluten free or coeliac.

The food was absolutely gorgeous. You get what you pay for. The staff were attentive, the place was easy to get to. Atmosphere was lovely and the interior is decorated to a fine taste. Will be back again!

Absolutely superb. Great attentive and patient staff, smart and reassuringly confident in what they were doing.Menu covers everything, pork, beef, chicken, veggi, fish as main courses with a really tempting list of beautifully presented starters.Pork was divine, lamb pie excellent (and the pastry wasn't thick at all) chicken was a simple dish but fantastic. All present so enthusiastic that sharing became compulsory. Vegetables were served whole (carrots -several varieties including purple ones) and were really nicely cooked. GreatDesserts were not necessary as there was plenty in portion size but, it has to be done on occasions. Chocolate brownie with raspberry didn't last long, pannecotta was light and wonderful and the simple ice-cream was really top quality (clearly not straight out of mass produced tub).It was dark when we attended but the lighting outside shows what there will be to enjoy in daylight. Tables inside were really well spaced and it's fair to say they could have squeezed another 8 covers but clearly have decided the spaceousness benefits repeat custom I'll be back here without a doubt.Oh by the way, the bar, with tables, is dog friendly but in view of there being only 2 tables, booking would be essential I guess.Overall, fantastic and I can't recommend highly enough.

Went to look at this place as a prospective wedding venue and stayed to have a meal today. We all ordered and was surprised to find that when you order a £14.00 Hake and mash you have to order veg separately for and extra £3 . Which made the meal quite expensive for the small portion size you received. Overall the food was good but the portion size was small. The flavour was nice of the meals. There was a wedding ceremony on there and the log fires were burning so the atmosphere was nice and toasty. We did pay a deposit for a date next year. The venue is nice but hard to get to and no street lights so night time driving would be not so good.

Fantastic venue, had our grandson's wedding there, every little detail was catered for in every way, food was out of this world, staff very friendly and professional couldn't do enough for us, we stayed overnight and the rooms are tip top, everything you need is there and very clean, highly recommend this place to anyone

Overall, the inn hotel was lovely. Nice, quiet location and some nice, pub food downstairs. Plus, a fairly spacious room too in comparison to your standard hotels!I don't want to be too harsh with the rest of my review as it could have been just a one off or just our room (we're stayed in their premium Riviera room) as other reviews seem to indicate that people really loved it.In my opinion, a few bits and bobs could definitely be improved upon: our room was not super clean (the bed cover had a big stain on it - if it's not something that can be removed, just throw it away or replace it), the carpet needed vacuuming, there was a customary big old spider running through the carpet and a dead fly on the bathroom floor. The rooms are also not sound proof. Been listening to two people having a conversation well into the night. There's also no thermostat in the room so we had to rely on turning the radiators up and down to get to a semi-comfortable temperature.Would I stay here again? Probably not as I'd like to see what else the area has to offer.
