This used to be our go-to Indian but, as of tonight, they've lost a customer of many years.A few months back we placed an order that was "rejected" but their online system still took the money - so ALWAYS CHECK YOUR BANK STATEMENT if this happens - which meant we had to ring up and sort the refund out, which they did, no quibbles. We placed another order tonight and, for the second time in a row, it's been a disaster. So the website says 60 minutes for delivery, which we understand may be approximate. We ordered at around 7pm and got given an actual delivery time of nearly two hours!Okay, whatever ... except we were still waiting at gone 9:30pm. We ring up and ask what's going on and get told it's on the way, and will be 5 minutes - this actually turned out to be nearer 15. And no, not a single apology or a "we're very busy tonight" or an acknowledgement that waiting nearly 3 hours is pretty poor service.Personally I think a partial refund should be in order when takeaways ever fail to uphold the time window you have paid for (certainly when it's missed to an unreasonable degree) but that's just me. Even if it's just 10% off, or some such gesture. But I imagine pigs will fly before a takeaway ever offers that!Yes, the food was nice - except the bhajis were not up to their usual standard (flat and dry; maybe they'd been sitting around for hours like we were) - and always appreciate the free poppadoms, and the delivery driver was polite (I actually felt a bit bad being understandably less than super-friendly because I know it's not his fault) ...... but, sorry Bollywood, this second bad experience has really soured us. Our evening was eaten up, waiting for the sound of a car engine outside, and frankly ruined by the frustration. If you're THAT busy, or understaffed, you shouldn't be accepting the orders (hopefully without still taking the money) so I'm afraid we're returning to Eastern Eye for the foreseeable future.

I don't like leaving negative reviews but this takeaway was really very poor. Took 1.5 hours to deliver and then what arrived was barely edible. Perhaps they are better at the hotter curries, but it almost felt like they were taking the p out of us for ordering the milder dishes. My passanda was really odd, had a horrible texture and no flavour at all, tasted like precooked chicken heated in mayonnaise it had a glutinous overly smooth very fatty custardy sauce unlike any passanda I've ever had before. Boyfriends butter chicken was no better and the naans were cold and dry. Very disappointing and very expensive for what we got which at best could be described as jar sauce curries (over 25 for 2 curries and 2 naans)

We had a lovely meal, and they did BYOB, without corkage, which made it more affordable. The waiter was friendly, and our food arrived in a timely fashion. Well worth a visit 👍.

I ordered from this company, not only did my meal not turn up as it was late, they didn't answer the phone, they took my money and received no food. When I got hold of them the next day, there was no apology or anything. I had to ask for my money back. Also because it was late that night I had to go with out any food. Not impressed and not even apology for what happened. I wouldn't use them again.

Had a takeaway last night- amazing service arrived piping hot at the exact time we asked. The food was delicious the best Indian takeaway we have ever had. So much meat in the dishes and so tender. Can’t wait to order again. Well done Bollywood spice
