Great place for lunch after a walk around the area. Had the breaded plaice with garden peas, chips and salad. Delicious. The freshly squeezed orange juice was a very welcome refreshing drink. They had a good variety of non standard soft drink options. Sat in the garden so don't know about the inside but the garden was lovely and the staff were very helpful!

We had a wonderful lunch at this delightful place in the heart of Bovey Tracey. As soon as we arrived we were greeted by a kind & very professional gentleman. Sadly we were unable to see his face completely due to him wearing a face mask but it was clear he was smiling 😃 (can't wait for this pandemic to be a memory long forgotten)When we ordered our meals we sat comfortably basking in the lunchtime sun & simply enjoying the pleasant surroundings. We could have only been waiting 10 minutes & our delicious food arrived & boy did it look a picture fit for a King! The grown ups both had avocado & sunblushed tomato salad with chips & wholemeal seeded bread. The not quite but thinks he is a grown up was extremely satisfied with his vegetarian sausage, chips & garden peas! He even received 3 packets of tomato ketchup (which he swiftly proceeded to hide under his sunhat so he could perform like Ed sheeran later apparently)🤔Anyway the service was excellent 👌 the food was delicious, fresh & so beautifully served that it felt wrong to disturb the masterpiece! We all had a pleasant time & the kiddo had to use the bathroom before leaving which I'm always cautious of but when you gotta go... you gotta go! Needless to say, as expected it was clean, well maintained, easy to navigate & no issues 👏 Job done, we paid (not too expensive but you really do pay for what you get... right) & left with full tummies. The bank of happiness had made a large deposit too so we all decided we would definitely be returning to this little gem hidden on the outskirts of Dartmoor National ParkThis is a must so do enjoy xxx😋

On a Not planned Trip To Bovey we popped Into The BROOKSIDE CAFÉ & RESTAURANT......Well what a Fabulous Choice Firstly we didnt Book !!! On a Sunday its Best to if it's a Roast you Desire.. From the Minute you step Inside your Welcomed , The Aroma of the Roast was Inviting and From seeing what was Served its No Wonder it was spaciously packed with Happy People 🙂.We How Ever wanted a CREAM TEA & A CHEESE SCONE TEA...From the pictures you will see How AMAZING it was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS 😋 ❤.IMPECCABLE SERVICE FANTASTIC PRESENTATION AND EXCELLENT FOOD.....ITS A MUST GO TO PLACE 👌

Polite but quite slow service. Nice sun trap garden. I had the sausage and onion baguette, which was tasty. Standard fare but all good!

First time here and it's such a lovely cafe to have a cuppa or munch on brunch. The menu has plenty of options and the staff are very friendly. They have indoor and outdoor seating with freshly made cakes for your mouth to salivate over. Highly recommended if you are in the area. It can be busy but worth the wait!

Superb cafe. Ample tables, fast friendly service and quality food. Lots of clean plates by the end and prices about average. Great bakery across the road too.
