Very nice little pub. Just stopped in for a pint. Friendly lady behind the bar. Jail& Otter on. Wife had what she said was a very nice Rose'. Very clean and tidy with woodburners. Defo worth a visit

Very Friendly staff and the food is absolutely excellent!! I always love the “vibe” here, full of friendly locals and visitors alike. The Carpenters Arms, Ilsington is a definite must for anyone visiting the area!

·

Would have been 5 stars except for the fact that the local thugs and criminals, also known as the Hunt, turn up there. Then best avoided like the plague. I hope the pub don't encourage these unsavoury elements. They need to actively discourage them

Popped in for a late Sunday lunch after a big hike on the Moor. Our first visit to you pub, food and service was great, we look forward to visiting again.

·

Very dog friendly pub, full of locals. We had a lovely lunch. They do small portions for the less hungry diners. Just under £100 for 6 of us included drinks, mains and some desserts/coffees.

Been a few years since we last went here. Went tonight with my husband. Decent sized portions, food was all good quality and tasted fresh and full of flavour. Friendly staff and lovely atmosphere. Throughly enjoyed our visit tonight.

Amazing place! The food is incredible! The steak and ale pie was the best I've ever had! Yvonne and Richard are great people. Only flaw is that they're West Ham fans...In all seriousness, cannot wait to come back down! Couldn't recommend it any more! Thanks guys!

Lovely evening at the Carpenters Arms with family. Thanks Richard and Yvonne. Food was great. Generous portions and lots of choice on the menu too! Lovely atmosphere. Local ale and cider. It was really busy on a Wednesday evening. Glad we booked a table :-)

Amazing food and drink.....only thing that you need to be careful off is the roads to get their can be narrow at times and parking is on these narrow streets.
