Central Fish Cafe in Teignbridge

We ordered, battered sausage and chips fish cake and chips and a peice of fish and curry sauce.The fish and sausage were already cooked in the heaters and the batters was soggy and stale and the grease was nasty.Curry sauce was running and had no flavour.The chips were actually nice and a good portion. Shame about the rest. I wouldn't reccomend

Reason for 2 stars is chips overdone and not as nice as before. Staff should be cooking at same quality but unfortunately not.

Small cod and chips £4.50, but not exactly Small great value, they have steady stream of customers so no waiting, must be best price in Teignmouth.

They used to be very nice. Sadly this time fish was extremely greasy an some chips were very hard an had 'eyes' on them. Reasonable prices though

Dreadful. Soggy chips cooked in rancid oil. Worst pasty I’ve ever had. You might get lucky and end up with something edible but you probably won’t. Go elsewhere.

The fish and chips can vary here. My last fish was a bit overcooked but you get served much quicker than other shops so sometimes speed can be the essence! At other times the fish n chips can be delicious.

very rude staff, asked for 2 medium cod and chips, was grunted at that it take 5-6 minutes (i didnt see thr problem waiting that time) and rolled his eyes at me, the customers infront got the same responce. when i took the boxes out of the bag, greade poured out of one box, it wad everywhere, tried to mop it up with the paper wrapping but not much luck, fish was full of grease and really soggy which then ran all over the chips, couldnt eat it all. avoid this place, wish id quede at the other place.

Look avoid this place , I did for many years but with nowhere else open and me promising to bring fish and chips home to the Mrs and kid I had no choice.First of all they completely forgot a main from my meal the jumbo sausage . My girlfriend had the cod and said it was ok apart from the 5 bones she found in it . And it was all cold ! Best part of my meal was the beans which, I put on myself to heat it up a bit with the missing sausage ! Just don't with all the amazing ones around town just, don't

Chips are always undercooked, sausages tasted nasty, I was very disappointed with our meal. I wouldn't use them again at all, it's a shame because it used to be such an amazing chippy now it's shocking.

Rudest customer experience I've had. My girlfriend and I were in town, we had coffees from Costa (they were nearly finished) and my girlfriend was hungry, we decided to get fish and chips somewhere we could eat in to escape the rain and cold. So I asked the man behind the counter if we could eat in, he suddenly has a go at us saying we "buy coffees next door and come here to eat inside" clearly angry and rude. Although I understand the point, the way it was said and the tone behind it was extremely rude. I asked if we could eat inside, he could simply have said "sorry, no". The whole thing left my girlfriend in tears. Never buying here again.
