Great location overlooking the river. Food was good and good choice. Coffee was not good. There are better cafes if you want proper cappuccino.

BE CAREFUL IF VEGETARIAN OR VEGANThe Vegetable Thai green curry is described as a Vegan Thai curry in the description. However, when it arrived it had prawn crackers poked in the top. We made the waitress aware and she confirmed they are not vegan. She very rudely told us they are put in there so people have the choice as to whether to eat them or not.How can you advertise something as vegan if it has prawns in??? This is extremely dangerous as some people are actually allergic prawns, luckily we aren’tThis is the only vegan option on the evening menu. This should not be called a vegetable curry as prawns are not actually a vegetable don’t know how a restaurant doesn’t know that? And certainly can’t be described as vegan and safe for people with shellfish allergies!

Interesting and inspiring menu, but overpriced. It takes a LONG time to get served and staff argued when we let them know our bill was wrong (we had another family's £150 ish bill in place of our bill for three teas and teacakes). Somehow this was our fault. Not impressive.

This place has lovely attentive staff, affordable food, has the best scones and is very clean. The staff are very accommodating and they are also dog-friendly too. This is very close to the beach and the place we stayed is just a few doors from it so I frequented this place during my stay in Shaldon. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Beach side cafe located right at the mouth of the estuary of the sea in Shaldon. Choice of Outside eating where you can watch the boats go by or inside eating and a outside balcony with sea views upstairs . Friendly efficient staff. Modern clean interior, lots of natural light. In the summer they have a ice cream hut to buy local ice cream to take away and eat on the beach which is next to cafe Makes a great place meet up with friend's and family good food, well priced.

What a great place to find on a cold and windy Monday in January. I enjoyed a blooming fantastic full engish "Captains breakfast" two eggs, two very tasty sausages, two bacon, hash brown, beans, mushrooms and fried bread! I also ordered a pot of tea.All reasonably priced with quick service and friendly staff. The cafe had a good atmosphere with some lovely veiws of Shaldon beach. The downstairs was a dog friendly area which great for those beach walks.

Loved this upmarket cafe for dinner and breakfast. Excellent location with fabulous views from our upstairs table. Decent food and reasonable prices. We'll worth a visit.

Lovely setting, really good service and excellent fish and chips. Also much quieter on the Shaldon side, just a quick ferry journey from Teignmouth. Would definitely go again.

I think the place is excellent and the food was very nice, but…we waited over half an hour to be served. From what I could make out I think that the staff made a mistake. It seems the previous table guests order had not been cleared of the system and so the staff thought we had been served…this is just my assumption from what I was able to work out. No apology was offered to us having to wait so long. Despite that I think the staff were otherwise friendly and once we made our order the food was served quite quickly and was enjoyable. I would go again but 3 stars for the long wait and no apology.
