Gurkha Chef in Teignbridge

Ate here whilst staying nearby and we were really impressed with the food. The outstanding dish was the Base Camp Curry, really tasty with lots of large pieces of chicken and lamb.

Small restaurant definitely book if you want to eat in. Food was lush would highly recommend and look forward to returning

Yet again a missing item off the online order, its only riceso we had to share , the quality of the food has droppedalso.I think we will collect our £ for the missing item and moveour requirements to one of the many takeawys in Newton

What a great place to eat , large portions, good prices and very good quality food cooked and served by excellent staff. Huge choice of meals with a combination of Indian and Nepalese cuisine on the menu, would recommend!

The goat curry was amazing, plenty of depth of flavour, would definitely go again.

We've had 2 takeaways FROM Gurkha Chef and the food has been amazing each time. Arrived early both times, and greeted by a really friendly delivery chap. The food itself was so tasty, and full of flavour. Will definitely be ordering again

Always enjoy the food here. We got takeaway this time but do enjoy eating in as well. The staff are lovely and very friendly. Our food was to the same standard we always get... absolutely amazing and always leaving us wanting more.

By far the best Indian takeaway in Newton Abbot. The ingredients are fresh, food is always piping hot, and generous portions. Unlike with other Indians, the food is not greasy and you won’t feel dehydrated or lethargic later due to the food not being bulked up with anything nasty.Only downside is that it seems most of Newton Abbot know how good Gurkha Chef is so you’ll have to place your order early on at the weekend to avoid a wait! Recently we’ve ordered our takeaway at 11.30am via the Gurkha Chef website for delivery at 6.30pm and it was delivered bang on 6.30pm so we’ll be taking advantage of pre-ordering again! Couldn’t ask for more from a local business.

Absolutely shocking, pre order food at half 5 in the evening for half 8 and we're still waiting on our food at 10pm. They keep updating the times of delivery, finally get through on phones....our food is still at the takeaway not even out for delivery. Why say it'll be here at 9.25 if it hasn't even left your business. Absolutely unacceptable service. Maybe we'll get our food in 2019 or maybe not.....Get it sorted!Food was 2 hours late
