Hakaryu in Teignbridge

Been coming here for years, food is great, excellent value for money. Staff very friendly

I had sweet and sour chicken with fried rice and chips. The sweet and sour sauce was hot water with red colouring in. Chips were rock hard. The batter was soggy. Wost Chinese I have ever had. Even my dod would not eat if ended up in the bin.

Order was wrong. Ordered a beef dish and got chicken, the other dish was meant to be sweet and sour chicken Hong Kong style. Both dishes were tasteless, the sauce in both tasted the same. Rice was stodgy. Completely ruined our night, ended up throwing it away

Wow can't believe how bad this was. Tasteless, bland and waterery please save your money

Had a some from these guys this evening, freshly cooked , open kitchen, the master chef in action was a wonder to see, the food was amazing, highly recommend, if you fancy some Chinese food in the area, you won't go wrong here, well done guys

8 of us come here for holiday and though to order this omg never ever I try this before it was amazing food well cooked and right we enjoyed it all the way and the delivery driver was 18 minutes early we’ll done u guys keep it up

It was my first Chinese, for several years, and I was very pleased with my meal. I asked for King Prawn Cantonese, which they cooked especially for me, as it wasn't on the menu. My brother was pleased with his King Prawn dish too, and what really surprised me, was the size of the Roast Chicken, that my father devoured, but was unable to finish, as the portion was so large. The prices are a bit dearer, than in our home town, which is to be expected, being a seaside resort, They close at 9.30pm, and don't take cards either, by the way.

Food was completely bland, tasteless and watery and was simply one of the worst ever Chinese takeaways that I’ve ever eaten at.Then went to call up to complain and get a refund only for the owners to tell us that that our choices of dishes were full of flavour and to deny everything. The only good point was that they agreed to a partial refund if we brought the food in.Then the owner/chef kicked off, got aggressive and argued that there was nothing wrong with the food. This went on for at least another 10 minutes, he claimed he has been cooking for 50 years and that and it was, “just our preference”. We asked time and time again to taste it and they refused. We also tried reasoning with them only for the chef to get more aggressive and eventually told us to, “Go back home”. So I said we will be more than glad to.Old Haka from Hakaryu needs to stop serving bland rubbish food to people and not acknowledging what he’s doing.

Rude staff who were clearly stressed and busy, but not busy enough to spend some time shouting at us when ordering. Food was bland the prawn toast was flat and looked like it had been cooked for an hour. 3 meals and over £30 quid. Then no card in 2021. With all the caravan sites around they don't need to rely on return custom as thousands of new people come into the area every Saturday. I had a call to say my business was on fire and this Chinese was still the low point of the day..... We might not go back!

Very expensive, small portions. I couldn't believe how small the tub was. I wouldn't advise going here unless you have money to burn and are on a diet. I've taken pictures with a plug so you have a reference to the size of the carton. I had chicken chow mein and sweet and sour sauce £8.20
