Had a cup of tea and a rock bun. Both were very good as was the service. Friendly place and dogs allowed which is a bonus. Will go again.

Proper roadside cafe. Staff are friendly the place is clean. Good basic menu. It's a caff and proud of it. They know how to make a decent cuppa too.

Edited review:2 stars for the chips and bubble and squeak. This is not my first visit so it was a return on a road trip down to Old Devon Town. Breakfast was kinda filling but the catering sausages were very tough and tasteless. Bacon was nice. Beans were ok, fried egg wasn’t runny though :(Toast was perfectly cooked but the butter was a bit sweet as if it had turned. But what got our goat was another patron arriving through the side door, leaving it open and then not letting us close it to “keep a draught running through”. If I wanted to eat in the cold I would have had my breakfast in the car park. I moved over from the door to the window but it was still draughty.File under disappointing.2021 visit: Still mildly disappointing. The butter was certainly better! Visited again last week and the catering sausages are still in full force, my scrambled egg was a fried egg and the £2 extra for a portion of chips was a small handful on the plate rather than a separate portion that I paid for. Don’t mind paying more but come on - let’s have some value for money.
