Hoi Shan in Teignbridge

Good food and service. Just found a new takeaway to use.

On Friday the 22/10/21 my brother & I had a Chinese meal from hoi Shan mine was king prawns with black bean sauce and egg fried rice it was absolutely disgusting, the prawns were just full of white slushy gooie stuff and the rice was all stuck together and no taste at all, very disappointing, had to trough it all in the bin, waste of money, will never go there again.

Absolutely tastelessI ordered the beef crispy noodles and what we got was soggy noodles which were tasteless and barely any sauce. Beef was chewy and poor quality Also ordered chicken with cashew, again tastless and barely any sauce. Salt and pepper chips were stale and no flavour, they seemed old to me. The whole meal was bad and I wish I would have just set fire to the £30 we spent n it. No point in complaining as their customer service is worse than their food.Don't waste your money.

Phoned up and engaged. But they did return my call which made ordering easier.

Only Chinese I like compare to any other Chinese in newton abbot. Food is fresh and hot when gets delivered.. very clean shop as well

Inedible food that was overwhelmed with chili! Only order from there if you have an asbestos mouth, a gut of steel and money to burn. The foodbha to go in the bin. Unbelievably angry and arrogant chef left us in no doubt that everything was our fault! Disgusting all round!

Was told our delivery would be upto an hour, phoned them to see where it was after a 1 hour 20 minutes wait, first they hung up then after ringing again was screamed at down the phone that it's on it's way. 1 hour and 50 minutes later I contact them again where they tell me it's on it's way. After 2 hours it arrived stone cold. Will never use again!

Food took over three hours to arrive after being told the wait was 1 hoir so in the end we canceled the order to be told we might be able to get our money back!Every time I called I was told the driver was on his way and we were first on his delivery list.The worst service I have ever had.

Been vegi 45yrs so have eaten a fair few Veg Curries and this is the first time i have ever been unable to eat one ! 2 of us had them and all u could taste was sweetness and a VERY SLIGHT spiciness and NO TASTE OF CURRY AT ALL . My son had a NOT so special curry also. His salt and pepper chicken he liked. Phoned them up for a very polite winge ... mostly to let them know that a mistake with seasoning had likely been made but was told several times it was basically my palate 🤔 and that veg curry is a v mild dish and vegetables are sweet too ! RUBBISH ! That really annoyed me . Ended up hanging up on that rather arrogant man. The only person to apologise was the nice young man who took our phone order and it was hardly his fault ! WONT BE RETURNING OR RECOMMENDING 🤢🤬😠

Disgrace ! Complained there was zero chicken in the chicken curry ! There answer was that customers always requested more and the amount was adequate . I said sorry I don’t think you understand there is not one piece of chicken ! He then said that was impossible the chef don’t make mistakes and that we were lying .. astonishing answer, I fail to see on a winters night who would drive back to a Chinese to get additional six or seven bits of chicken ! Ended up having chips with curry sauce which cost in total £5:50 + 1:50 for chips total £7 chips in curry sauce ? Guy on phone was so rude it was flabbergasting ! Will never set foot in premises ever again and strongly advise people go else where , crazy people and certainly can’t believe after spending £30 a week at this place which is on the records they treat loyal customers in this way .. Shocking !
