A really friendly place, with good food. Found this place today hidden away off the main street...really enjoyed our quick stop here, the food was served hot. We didn't have our dog although dog friendly as well.Highly recommended👍

Absolutely amazing pub. Had the prawn and crab platter and wasn't disappointed. And the server was brilliant. So friendly and a very welcoming smile. Superb service and excellent food. Compliments to all👏

Phoned to ask if they had their mussels on the menu, and crab. Their answer was yes! On arrival, they said they were out of them and they had been for 4 days. 😏. Yes we had a nice crab sandwich, but why lie?

We haven't been in here for years but after a lovely stroll around Holcombe village and the beach we popped in before going to The Lobster Lounge for tapas. And 3 Jail ales and 3 Birra Moretti's later we agreed it was a good local friendly pub and the bonus was it sold our favourite lager and real ales!! Shame about the coldness though...ramp up the heating Landlord...please!!

We were in Dawlish Warren and thought we would call for food somewhere before returning home. Ringing ahead, we spoke to Kieron who told us a table would be free for 2 adults and a canine. We arrived and were guided to our table, the venue Wass warm, inviting and cosy. There were people of all ages having food, along pool and a few larger groups sat out doors on the wooden seating. The staff were super friendly and brought some doggy treats over to our pooch who was whining whilst my partner had gone to the bar to place our order. They sreoked her and made a fuss of her which calmed her slightly.Food arrived quickly, I had steak with chips, peas and peppercorn sauce. My boyfriend had a burger and chips with a side of chicken wings and a dip (see photographs). The food was plentiful, no skimping on the chips and there were plenty of condiments available to help ourselves to (no tiny fussy sachets, there were acrual bottles!).The pub was decked out ready for Halloween, it looks like a lot of effort ha seen put in.We both enjoyed the meal and the atmosphere.

Very busy place, Sunday roast was nice, had no condiments to offer with the meal ie : - Bread sauce, cranberry sauce with the turkey also there wasn't stuffing. Its a shame as I would of rated 5 stars.

We dived in here out of the rain and it was so good we stayed. Friendly service and good food, particularly the beef and ale pie though less so the plaice. Great option to order online, who needs Brexitspoons?!
