Vicky and Lindy were an absolute gem, opened the doors early on this beautiful day, very friendly and welcoming staff as you walked in the door, very knowledgeable with beers and excellent customer service, smiles all round.Met what we in the trade call a 'pub dog' - mini who was also very friendly with outsiders, had a lot of fun sat in the beer garden chucking the ball for this friendly dog.All around an amazing and friendly pub! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

would not go again, shocking service waited over an hour to receive food which is over priced for what it is!Menu is basic & borning with not much choice. And to top it all off we are pretty sure we caught covid while there due to there poor hygiene & guidelines not in place.Would not normally leave a bad review but as the service was so bad & there was a hair in my meal i just had to complain.

Arrived late but still fitted us in although they were really busy. Had a fantastic vegan burger. My husband said his burger was the best he'd ever had. Lovely cosy atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and extremely welcoming. Second time we visited and would definitely visit again 😊

The location is lovely and cozy, with good access from the road and as a stop-off on long journeys. The staff are lovely and create a warm atmosphere. Most importantly, the food is amazing. The steak is the best I have tried, to date and along with the atmosphere and people, more than makes up for the sometimes long service times. Probably because of all the people that come in to try the steak!

Big portions, friendly front of houseand a very adorable pub dog, but nothing special about the food - prices were extortionate considering the quality was not reflected in the price! The table next to us had the same thoughts! They definitely need to up their game / refresh the menu or drop the prices to reflect the quality. Won't be visiting again.

A surprisingly beautiful and characterful pub considering its ease of access from the A38! It's a lovely old building and has been very tastefully decorated inside. The countryside around is a fine example of the peaceful beauty of South Devon. The food was very good, standard pricing for a fancy pub (mains around £15). The only meal we got that wasn't great was the Thai curry, which wasn't as flavourful as it could have been. The staff were friendly, and overall the experience was very enjoyable. I will be recommending this pub in the future.

We stayed here as a Motorhome stopover and my word what a lovely pub! This beautiful thatched roof is full of character and provides a wonderful setting for the quality food and ales which are served. The delightful atmosphere and ambiance are completed with a strong presence of locals and friendly, efficient staff.Thoroughly recommended
