"Traditional family owned pub. Set by the river teign, we are lucky to have breathtaking view of the river and the ever-changing wildlife. Great place for walk along the marshes, bird watching or just enjoying nature. We serve home-made seasonal traditional English food. Our menu changes every so often so make sure to check what we have on offer at the time. We look foward to seeing you for a meal, a drink or just a coffee!"

Lovely scenic area with a lovely restaurant below.Service is great, views are stunning and the restaurant is absolutely brilliant. Staff couldn't be better and meals are brilliant.Second visit still not disappointed. Made a trip to the pool and they even have a massage option. Only comment would be the lights in the room were particularly slow to turn on and in excess of 10 seconds at some points.

An amazing view for a beer garden. You could sit outside for hours and watch the birds and wildlife. The food is lovely, fresh, homemade fayre. Great variety of menu and I would recommend the burger and pie. Great place to visit.

This pub has the most beautiful setting and has been a favourite of mine for over 15 years..but the current staff are rude, useless and the foods is not great. The staff have genuinely made me not want to return..end of a era. Very very sad.

Absolutely fantastic pub, lovely location with great beers. Grab a table by the river and enjoy the swans and the tranquility the surrounding gives you!

Great food a fantastic selection of gluten free dishes, pizza, burgers and platters we choose the seafood platter which included whitebait and mackerel pate, the whole platter was delicious. Our server Maisie was fantastic nothing was too much trouble, very welcoming and even made sure our dogs had fresh water, I would highly recommend this place and I am sure we will visit again very soon.

Food was fantastic when we visited this evening but did not appreciate being charged £15:00 extra for items that we never had. The final bill had to be amended twice before being correct. Also I don't think it's acceptable for a very young child of 7 or 8 taking peoples orders and taking food to the customers tables, also children running in and out of a busy kitchen, that must be against health and safety guidelines

What a lovely evening. Food lovely, and menu covers most aspects of choice (options of fish, meat, chicken, vegi etc), great pace about the service (not rushed but never forgotten) location superb, all round a super evening out. Trouble with giving good reviews is that others will now make it busy!!!!

Lovely location with very efficient and friendly staff. Only had good quality coffee and not eaten there for years but the food looks excellent. It would get 5* but that's just being false considering not had food.

A get together was planned with family local to the area, I left it their capable hands to choose a venue that was dog friendly and had good food. They hit the jackpot on both counts, dogs were allowed in the restaurant and many tables had digs underneath. The food, the main event if you like, did not disappoint, I ordered carvery, the beef was tender and tasty, with plenty of vegetables and lots of choice. The restaurant was busy, and staff had to work really hard, they were attentive and helpful. We retired to the outside tables, enjoying the Devon weather, watching the wildfowl and the river swelled on the tide. A wonderful afternoon that will be remembered for many a long year.

It was our first time visit. Nice location by the river, duel carriageway didn't bother us but may do some. Food was lovely, photo is of my hake bake which tasted superb. Family also had ploughman's, passage house burger. All was good size, nicely presented and most importantly tasty. Staff were friendly and professional. My only critism was the closing time which seemed early at 10pm we were still having a good time. If they get the cycle path built along the river, we will be there more often. Otherwise we will have to drive or taxi back to teignmouth
