Disgusting rude man, he is so rude to the young female staff. He makes me feel very uncomfortable when I’m in there and asks very personal questions. The food & drinks are so expensive. Don’t go here it’s terrible!

Not great. Food was okay, average portion size and average cost for main meals. Dampener on the meal was the ludicrous prices for drinks, mainly soft drinks costing £4.50. Another downer was the £1 charge to take food away if desired, not unaffordable but just very stingy! Service wasn't bad by any means but not hugely attentive even though the restaurant wasn't that busy.

I have recommended RIndian to all my guests, but my last ones have reported to me they were charged £4.50 for a diet coke and £7.50 for a 250m glass of wine that they said was a 175m . Then they were also charged £1 for a take away container. Its still after all this tine cash only too!So I've removed them from my recommended local places to eat for my holiday guests. You decide, but they won't keep their local customers like this!

We were on holiday for a few days visited on 16/4/2022We booked a table at the Royal Indian restaurant Teighmouth after reading the reviews food saying food was 5* we were very disappointed we had a prawn Pathia the prawns were just thrown in at the end it was horrible no taste apart from salt sauce was very hot more like a madras nothing like a Pathia at all.the lady who worked there was very pleasant and helpful thankfully. We asked if she could book us a taxi she did but said it would be about an hour which was ok as we were finishing our meal.I heard the man who I think was the owner ask if she had ordered the taxi she said she had but it would be approx an hour his reply was we couldn’t wait in inside we had to wait outside, it wasn’t as if it was busy there was probably 8 other people eating so after taking £50.00 we had to wait outside on a bench for nearly an hour please don’t make covid an excuse we had masks thankfully won’t be going back also forgot to mention doesn’t take cards only cash !!!!

We (my wife and son, 16 yrs) had a great meal 3rd Sept 2020 service was so smooth and they are so attentive and helpful. The young lady at the bar area was exceptionally happy and chatty👍 would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great Indian meal with great service. They are also dog friendly 😁 - not Friday or Saturday

Quite possibly the weirdest experience we have ever had in our lives! All seemed well when our party of 9 entered the restaurant which didn’t look up to much decor wise but the waiter seemed pleasant enough. We were then told we could pay cash only to the restaurant stating something to do with ‘too much money’ and if we didn’t like it we had to go. We then ordered drinks some cobra lager and some soft soft drinks so the waiter went off to get them to the bar and started pouring our beer. All of a sudden character resembling Basil Fawlty emerged from the mist of the kitchen and started waving his arms around like a man possessed! We were told then that in no uncertain terms alcohol was strictly off the menu and that we were to be having soft drinks only. If we didn’t like it we had to leave! This was halfway through munching our poppadoms. We suspected that there was a licensing issue at this property as they then did the unthinkable and snatched a pint off a man they had already served who was halfway through it their rudeness knew no bounds! The owner was rude on questioning and the food was cack we left the majority of it in disgust. We felt sorry for the polite waiter who was being ordered around by the little poison dwarf who owned the place. Loads of dodgy characters emerging in and out of the kitchen some definite skull duggery going on in this place!
