Easily the best place I've ever eaten. I had the vegetarian lasagne which came with garlic bread (enough to warrant a return visit by itself!). The portions are enormous and well worth the money for the quality of the food. We visited on a Monday lunchtime and waited 20 minutes for a table in the small bar area. Hope to return very soon

*Great hospitality*There were five of us with a little woofer in tow. This pub itself is lovely. Arranged in an idyllic setting, with a quaint stream near by and ample parking across the lane. Two log burners (one an open fire place) with a warm and convivial ambiance. There seemed a great mix of comradely locals and considerate guests. The landlord was attentive and welcoming. The food was plentiful and the Dartmoor Whiskey was great.Highly recommend this place for a true Dartmoor Pub experience!

A real gem this pub is.Very rustic, old and cosy feel to it.Being 6"5 I struggled to stand up straight in there, but aren't all the best pubs like that?Great beer selection, and very informative staff.A much needed stop off on the way home from a day hiking in dartmoor national park.

Beautiful farmlike local, community pub with friendly staff. The food is good and the portions huge! You've been warned. 😅 The booze is good too, and overall the price is very low. Highly recommended.

Fantastic Devonian Inn oozing old world charm. Clearly a very poplar place in picture perfect Widecombe on the Moor. Visited last week on a glorious September day and ate in the beer garden. Smoked trout salad was very generous and tasty and just the ticket on a sunny day, and the homecooked ham and eggs was as good as you'll find. Friendly staff, efficient service, food and drinks good value... what more do you need! Was a real pleasure to whizz down a few cold beers and enjoy a hearty lunch here after a good Dartmoor walk.

Almost too good to recommend! Fantastic food, beers, owners, staff and locals. We had the pleasure of several excellent meals here while staying locally, up there with a select list of some of my favourite pubs. Can’t wait to come back at some point!

Lovely ambience in the beer garden where chewbacca chicken and its troop roaming around, its cute. Fantastic location and friendly waiter. However steak and ale pie dish we had was quite bland and too bigger portion for our stomachs. Beer was flat. We'd go again for the ambience and maybe try other menu, hopefully other menu will be much nicer.

Amazing pub with brilliant surroundings. Food was excellent and in general such a nice place, very rural. Chickens roam around the beer garden! Definitely come here for something to eat and drink!

Stopped here again recently on a busy August evening, without a reservation and just before last orders for food. We were quickly seated and had an excellent meal and were able to park a camper overnight in the car park for free. Great hospitality despite the challenging times. Thank you.
