Silent Whistle in Teignbridge

Just passing the area and popped in for a bite and drink. We spent many of hours in this pub a few years ago when living in the area for some months. It was sad to not see the old owners but life moves on I guess and the new owners seems to being doing a great job with the food and service. I dropped a star purely because the decor could do with a bit of work. 5 stars for me means everything has to be perfect but they were very close. Good luck with the business.

Lovely town pub. Clean and fresh looking. Staff and landlords are really welcoming and inviting. Good beers. Pool table, sports on multiple screens.

Lovely food and really friendly staff great value for money

Good solid lunch here and very good staff. They kindly kept the kitchen open for us for an extra few minutes. The pizza was tasty but very large and also quite thick - I wished I'd only eaten half of it, or ordered the kids' size. Recommended, just be aware that you may get a lot of food!

Best pint in Ashburton and you won't have your pants pulled down on price like some of the other pubs in the village.

Stayed in Ashburton for 3 nights whilst travelling around the West country. We came here the first night and the owners were so friendly... The pizza was amazing... And the patrons (all locals) were so welcoming and fun... So we have been back every night! Tonight is either Hunters Chicken or a chicken burger! I can't wait.

Brilliant food with tucked away roof terrace beer garden, looking forward to being able to sit in for a meal after having a takeaway. The food was fresh and tasty with a good portion size and excellent value.
