Exterior display area extended. Compost can now be found on the far right along with grit, choice of decorative stones and wooden furniture. As expected, plants are plentiful with everything you would need for your garden, or indoor plants, all to be found at Jack's Patch. A wide selection of clothing, accessories and gifts. Staff are helpful and ready to assist those with disabilities. Overall, a good experience but if you plan a visit, allow yourself plenty of time. Parking is free, disabled parking available and the premises are wheelchair friendly (wheelchairs also available on request) but there is a slight slope down from the entrance and again from the outside plant area and up to indoor plants and tills followed by another short rise to the car park exit. Could use another entrance/exit point at the far right nearer to the main car parking area. New customer collection point. If purchasing bulky items, get accurate description (example: Quartzite Pea Gravel 10mm large bag) go to checkout and they will find item on their list, pay for it and exit premises. Take vehicle to far end of car park - right hand side - and go around left bend. Reverse to collection point, show staff your receipt and they will collect it for you and help to put it in your vehicle. No more towing heavy carts around 😀. Home delivery service is also available as well as Click & Collect.

Went to Jack's Patch with my mother to buy a table and chairs for my garden but after looking around there was nobody there to assist us with this, so we ended up going to the cafe. Glad we did! 🙂 The breakfast came out quickly and was hot, tasty and good value for money. Was pleased they had both soya milk and plenty of yummy gluten free cake options for my mother. The restaurant was bright, clean and had a lovely view over the river. Service was good especially 'Charmaine' who was particulary friendly and helpful when serving us and went the extra mile assisting an elderly lady while we were eating. We will be visiting the cafe again! 🙂

Just had carrot cake and coffee. Pretty fast service and lovely views over the estuary. The carrot cake was very fresh, tasty and moist!Sorry I draw the line at paying in a cafe and then being told to clear the table!

My toddler and I met a friend here for lunch, very clean restaurant and friendly staff. Ordering food was quick and easy, finding a table was also easy even though the restaurant was very busy. The food we ordered came out in a good time, it was well presented, hot and very tasty. Will definitely be back!

I visited on Thursday 3rd Feb with a couple of friends so had to keep my mouth shut so as not to cause embarrassment to them.Garden Centre itself is great and friendly staff.Cafe is AWFUL. The staff there are offhand, not interested, and boring on rude. I had the audacity to ask for my coffee to be extra hot. No chance. When I pointed out other cafes seem to manage it I was put right in my place. Well, they're obviously breaking the law then!Food is overpriced and after shelling out you have to clear up after yourself! Maybe we should wash up too! And who is wiping the tables after us then! What a cheek! Never again!

It's become one of my "go to" places if I meet a friend for breakfast or coffee. Great restaurant with the best fried egg baps! A good excuse for visiting the whole garden centre!

Lots of quality plants and other items. Very spacey for social distancing reasons. Wheelchair access to most areas and routes to a very nice cafe, selling both hot and cold food. Sells breakfasts. Very relaxing atmosphere. There is an excellent aquarium section. Free limited sized car park, which can get busy during peak times. We'll worth a visit.

So awful I had to share. I was scoffed at for asking for ice to go with my warm £2.50 bottle of coke. I was willing to accept it may have just been put in the fridge, these things happen but the manager and another staff member, I won’t shame, had a conversation about me like I wasn’t there. Very embarrassing for me and shame on them. I decided to not eat lunch but my. I’m had a not quite cold jacket potatoe. The team clearing tables were fab and very friendly. Shame one of them wasn’t manager instead. I don’t be eating there again. I heard it was a bit slow (which it was) but customers clearly didn’t come first with front of house. This was unacceptable.
