Business hours are apparently inaccurate on Google so I went onto their website and Facebook pages to see if it would be open and didn't find any updated information whatsoever. Drove over and found that it was randomly closed on a Wednesday at 2pm. Very disappointing since the reviews seemed good otherwise.

Recommend this place by a friend, nice relaxed lunch, helpful staff, limited menu, but would call again.

Great tea room with a wide and varied menu

A true taste of 1930s England. It's like being transported back in time. Elegant tea rooms with a friendly and helpful service. They offer a nice range of foods, and even accommodated my gluten free needs (I had a chocolate tart - absolutely amazing). A little pricier than other cafes, but worth every penny for a special treat.

Tea was good quality, and from previous visits the cakes are great. However, I realised when I got home from my latest visit that I was charged ÂŁ10.65 for two teas, which were supposed to cost ÂŁ3.60 each. Not sure how they worked that out?The tea was loose and no tea strainer was provided. Also the sugar was provided in small packets like a service station cafe. Not a big deal but I would expect sugar cubes/crystals for the price. The waitress was pleasant and the surroundings were fitting. With a few tweaks it would be five stars.

A lovely tearoom with fantastic selection of fresh cakes and teas. We had scones with cream and jam plus chocolate fudge cake both of which we good. So was the usual teas we had. Unlike most other tearoom this one is open quite late which a great.

We always visit Taylor’s when we are in Ashburton. I love the beautiful selection of teas on offer and the cakes are to die for! (All homemade on site)The tea room is so quaintly British and traditional. So much nicer than the high street chains that all look the same and have no atmosphere.Definitely worth a visit when you are here

Lovely cosy tearoom, cakes and scones made on site, China cups and teapots. Cream tea seemed expensive at over ÂŁ7 each and sandwiches were sold separately.

A sophisticated style tea room. A warm atmosphere. Friendly staff. A good selection of cakes. A must if you visit Ashburton.
