Excellent food and service. Very welcoming owners and staff. Very accommodating for our fussy son. Ate here most nights during our holiday. (We stayed at the cottage next door). Claire, Gary, Ryan and Bailey the puppy.

Great food . . Talk to the locals everyone is an absolute God given talent and that includes the chef loved it and will return soon

·

Nice food and a very warm welcome. Tales of ghosts to accompany the meal. Lovely host in Sam.

·

We enjoyed a lovely meal and some drinks at the artichoke inn. We arrived just when the kitchen was closing but we were still served. Had a large jumbo fish and chips with mushy peas, a couple of gin and tonics and some pints. The atmosphere was very nice, staff was friendly and the bill was fair.

Had serveral also takeaways recently, visited 13/05/21, two massive 8oz cheeseburgers, one Gluten Free. Loaded with chips, onion rings, salad and sauce for £8.70 a head, you can’t go wrong! Tasty and just delicious.

Lovely warm welcome this wet Sunday Afternoon. Good food. Friendly staff. Everything a country pub should be.

·

Recently under new management and just re-opened. Very quiet, but staff friendly and welcoming. Simple, but cheap (£8) food menu, but we only stopped for drinks, so can't comment on quality.

·

The service couldn't have been more friendly or welcoming. The food very average. When you have a small menu and very few other customers eating, you need to get it right. One veggie option will not bring me back for food, but the warm atmosphere would.

Our visit to the Artichoke today was very good. We were well looked after and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the delicious food. I hope Acorn will be a frequent visitor.

Had a really excellent lunch here yesterday. The best brunch I've ever had, lovely blackcurrant cheesecake and an excellent pint of Great quality real ale. Thoroughly recommend this restaurant.
