The Atmospheric Railway Inn in Teignbridge

It was a Monday and really quite at 6pm but we pitched up unannounced for my birthday meal, we were treated wonderfully, staff very welcoming and friendly. We had starters odlf soup and prawn cocktail, then both had Ribeye steak, cooked to perfection for us (medium), it was so tender we didn't need the steak knife. .....car park is very tight but I did manage to park my 7 seater Ford Galaxy,.....we will return when back in the area. Do give it a try.

Lovely friendly pub just outside Dawlish. We stopped for lunch which was yummy! Reasonable prices, great Gin selection and lovely beer garden too. Child friendly, would definitely return 👍

Very impressed with the quality of food. Really enjoyed the steak meal I had ,cooked to perfection . Overall a great place to eat ,100% recommend xx

From start to finish we were very pleased with the experience, all the staff were pleasant and knowledgeable, there's plenty of choices and many specials on chalk boards, they have a pie night on Tuesdays and steak nights on Thursdays also do a Sunday roast.We had a soup and prawn cocktail for starters, then both had ribeyed steaks for mains which was cooked to perfection.

Excellent value and the food was very tasty. I had pork loins with mustard mash and sauce. Have to say its the best pork loins I've ever had and the sauce was fantastic. The wife had gammon with 2 eggs and pineapple, she also said it was one of the best she has had.The staff were excellent and friendly.Will definitely return on our next visit

I booked a 40th birthday party for my partner and have to say this venue was amazing. They provided so much help getting everything together as we were travelling from Liverpool for the event.The owners Clare/John and all the staff were professional and friendly providing everyone a warm welcome and relaxed atmosphere.The food I ordered was delicious and went down a treat with everyone at the party. The venue made sure the continually topped up the exquisite buffet.Overall the party was a massive success thanks to the venue and the staff. I would defiantly recommend as a party venue and for the catering whether it’s for an event, a meal out or just a drink in a friendly and fun venue.I can’t thank this venue enough for all they did at such a reasonable price, they went above and beyond to make the party perfect and we will defiantly be returning regularly when we visit.

A lovely place to have some real good quality food.The staff are friendly and very helpful and attentive.It is very well run with a choice of 3 or 4 ales. Ciders and lagers. As well as the usual spirits with plenty of gins to choose from too.It is located opposite the Starcross railway , from where you can get the ferry to Exmouth during the day.Car parking is opposite the pub. The views from The railway bridge are excellent too.There is a beer garden too.The quality of the Monkfish Scampi I had as a starter and the Cod Battered as a main was brilliant.The cod was an excellent fillet.Minted peas and homemade tartare sauce too, the chips were tasty too.Loved the food and it was excellent value for what you got.Will return, already booked a table for 19th September when next down.On this, above mentioned ,September return visit we had the Sunday lunch which was very tasty.Again three ales on tap and very good friendly service.Brilliant, so worth a visit and highly recommended from me too.

Visited twice while on Holiday once for the Tuesday curry special my wife having the chicken supreme and again on the Friday when my Wife had the chicken pie and i had the gammon will definately visit again when back in the area

Had dinner here with the other half today, we had the most amazing burgers, the onion and tomato chutney complimented the beef perfectly and the chips were proper british farmhouse chips. I honestly don't think I'll ever eat a better burger. Lovely vibe and amazing service too! Thankyou so much to the incredible team and compliments to the chef.
