The Boathouse in Teignbridge

On holiday for a week and the wife and I got hungry. The place looked nice so in we went. Sat outside since it was a nice day, the staff were buzzing around keeping the place tidy, delivering orders and just chatting to customers, which was a nice touch.Nice and clean inside and outside, food was awesome and at a reasonable price, I had the mixed grill and the wife had a melted stilton rump... For me, the mixed grill is in my top 10 of mixed grills, what let it down was the chips, they are unfortunately frozen.But still, we enjoyed it so much that we went back two days later.

Top food and good value dinner. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Not to mention, my husband forgotten his wallet, and one of the staff run outside and returned the wallet. Well. What can I say? Not only professional, but kind people. I give you all 10 stars. Thank you.

Amazing experience!!!Great service from start to finish. Staff are so friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much.We were a party of 8, for a 30th birthday, we sat down upstairs and were brought a bottle of prosecco on the house.Food was delicious, came out really fast and was presented lovely, food tasted great. Plenty to choose from.Plenty of seating upstairs, downstairs and out on the deck.Toilets availableStunning Views over the sea.100% would be back.

A pub that is well set up virtually on the sea front. When we arrived it had just started to rain & everybody had rushed inside to get a drink so there was a long queue at the bar, which was sorted within minutes as all available staff were called to the bar to serve. A table for food was requested & found quickly & the service thereafter couldn't be faulted. For a busy location they certainly didn't allow poor standard of service or efficiency in cleaning ready for the next customers. Dog friendly as well.

Friendly and courteous staff. Food came out after not too long a wait. All presented nicely. Slightly expensive, but was all nice and hot and good taste. Good selection of real ales. Lovely spot. Lots of umbrellas for cover, on what was a very hot day. Would go here again.

We had a lovely meal here. That staff are very friendly. Food was delicious. They generously changed a burger for us, free of charge, because when it came, it had something in it that my grandson didn’t like. Prices are reasonable. Good choice of food. Vegan, veggie and GF options. We didn’t feel rushed to move after our meal either.

Great food the dirty fries bbq is a main meal and a half great experience and when you exit what a View!!! Of the sea!!

Amazing location dramatically let down by the smoking friendly outdoor areas. If you are serving food you shouldn't allow smoking. I am a smoker but wouldn't light up around people who are eating!! Please sort it out. Stop providing ash trays and mark out non smoking where food is served! Soooooo expensive

Absolutely beautiful family friendly, pet friendly bar and grill. Beautiful food and drinks at a great price. Pets welcome and very catered for.

Awful awful awfulVisited here last week with my husband, grown up son & 2 teenage daughters. Too say the food was bad is an understatement! My one daughter had steak with chips & vegetables. The broccoli was gray in colour and very mushy. There were tomatoes that were also so over cooked they just disintegrated on her fork. My husband had the chicken burger. The meat was also gray with a funny green coating. He didn’t eat it, just the chips. My son had the classic burger which he managed to eat half of but said the meat taste cheap and was very greasy. We tried to complain, but the very young waitress was unable to find any too help. Not cheap for food I wouldn’t serve to my dog. Avoid at all costs
