The Cafe On The Green in Teignbridge

Cream tea was delightful. The scones were huge and warm. Should only have purchased the one! Cafe was clean and very smart. Staff were attentative and polite. Seemed to be dog friendly (as we noticed others with dogs inside). Overall lovely place to visit for a little doddle around the moors. Would definitely return.

Service was super speedy and the scones were still warm. You get a generous helping of clotted cream and the jam was tasty too. There are lovely views to be had from outside and plenty of seating inside if the weather isn't great.

What a place! Absolutely gorgeous location in the little village of Widecombe in the Moor. The best cream tea we’ve ever had. The scones are served nice and warm just right to melt in your mouth. We had the burger and chips first and I’m not sure how they cook their chips but they were mouthwatering and would definitely recommend trying them. The car park next to the cafe charges £2 for all day. This is one of our favourite places to drive out to for a special treat and will definitely be back again soon.

Lovely cafe, lots of parking, healthy treats and the obligatory cream tea. About 10mins from haytor so it's well worth a visit if scrambling around the moor.

I was hoping to rate this place a solid 5 stars after checking the website.The staff was mostly friendly and helpful but not up to par with the character of the place- too young too inexperienced.The place is cosy and pleasant, family friendly, dog friendly and muddy boots friendly as well.Food is very good.Highly recommend.

Oh the chips!!! Crispy, crunchy, freshly fried in clean oil! What a joy to find in the middle of the wilderness. And they do a cracking grilled cheese sandwich that they call a toasty. Lovely surroundings and with lots of outdoor space I can imagine it gets very busy in the summer.

A lovely find up on the moor, perfect for walkers and drivers who want good food and cream teas.The baguette was fresh and wholesome and the cream tea was spot on, very generous with the cream.It was a tad pricey compared to other cafés we have been too, especially as you have to pay to park too, but definitely worth it. Very clean, especially loos, no table service but lots of cosy nooks inside and a lot of outdoor seating as well.

Great choice for a proper lunch, friendly staff and quick services. Lots of food options, delicious dishes and dessert. It’s worth visiting the village afterwards (dating back to the XV century, very picturesque.
