We live in the village and we’re so lucky to have such a great pub within walking distance. The staff are incredible - very attentive, chatty and you can tell they all love working at the Clays. They have live music on Fridays and Sundays played by some great eclectic characters. Always a great atmosphere indoors and out. Food is awesome and great value. Really don’t understand the negative food reviews - are people expecting Michelin starred cuisine or something? I’ve never had a bad meal here - all have been good honest home cooked dishes.Beer is always well poured and well kept too!Don’t change !

We have just had the best Sunday Roast ever at this pub. Tender meat served with perfectly cooked tasty vegetables and plenty of amazing gravy. We were a little early and one of the girls showed us to a table where we could have drinks first and a look at the menu. Drinks were promptly delivered to us. After a sort while we were shown to our table. Pudding was also delicious even though we didn’t really have room. Apple and Blackberry crumble with Custard was just too hard to resist. Can’t wait to return again.

This pub was really nice .Really good food and the gravy added an extra something special.(Best gravy ever) Desert was also really good. 10/10 to the chef.👌🏽 😋 There was a member of staff in there with ginger hair who kept looking at me ALOT ,it was quite intense and made me feel abit uncomfortable but other than that everything was fine. They've got cute little chickens and goats outside too! We love that! ❤

One of the best pub roast dinners I've had - meat was perfectly cooked, lovely homemade Yorkshire puds and roast potatoes, served with delicious veg. Enjoyed it so much we'll be back to try the main menu on another day!

If your in the area, definitely visit this place. Lovely pub, friendly welcoming staff, fantastic service, very reasonably priced and amazing food! I'm going to be dreaming of the beef, Guinness and blue cheese pie from the specials board. Absolute heaven!Definitely be back when we're back in the area. Highly recommended!

Super friendly staff who greet you the moment you walk in. We hadn't booked and they were busy but went out of their way to accommodate us and set up a table. Great food at a good price. A lovely pub and will be back when we are in the area again.
