We had a lovely meal here during half-term before a visit to House of Marbles. We called on the day to book a table for lunch and they were really accommodating. Everyone was really friendly and we had great service, over really quickly to take drinks and food order (always appreciated with 2 small children in tow). The menu was fairly small but varied. They also offer small portions which are perfect for lunch or children's portions. I had a ploughman's which was immense, 3 types of cheese, ham, bread, coleslaw and pickles. Other members of our party had scampi, fish and chips, ham and egg. For my youngest they were happy to make him a cheese sandwich (although I forgot to ask for it without chutney, whoops!) They're very new owners, so not sure if they're planning on making changes, but even if they do no doubt they'll be in keeping with the local demand.

Hopefully the removal of all local ales / ciders from behind the bar just a temporary decision whilst the new owners are finding their feet....

Went here for a meal on a friends recommendation. He wasn't wrong. Fantastic warm welcome by friendly and professional staff. Menu was varied but not too big. My dilemma was what to choose as there were some great dishes on there, and some of the specials sounded fantastic. After ordering, our food came within a good time and was piping hot. Staff were attentive but not pushy. Very tasty and good value. Definitely a place to return to.

Attended a private meeting. Food was good. Beers were good but some were expensive. Staff were friendly.

One of our regular haunts. Nice food, nice drinks, good service. My only complaints would be the lack of seating outside but the space inside makes up for that.

Amazing food, great atmosphere, lovely staff. Portions are big and very reasonably priced. Highly recommended. This place was recommended by another eatery that was full. So well recommended. 😊

Excellent place for dinner. The staff were professional, decor fantastic, service quick and efficient. The food was of a very high standard. The sea bass on on the bed of risotto was just divine.

We enjoyed delicious meals here, pork loins and gammon steak. Generous portions, well presented in a clean, safe environment with lovely staff. Excellent value for money. We will be back soon to try more specials from the menu. Well worth a visit.
