This was the first time we had visited. Food was good although mine cold. Service was hit and miss depending who was serving you. The person who brought our meals out was chewing gum which is disgusting at any time. Overall it was good I will go back in the hope it was a one off and hope it is better next time.

Our food tonight was so bad. The korma was like milk no flavour at all it was so runny and tastes less. The keemanan tasted like dough. No flavour supposed to have mince inside it was less than a spoonfuls the rice had pips in it. So bad then when I phoned the shop to complain he called me a liar. 31 pounds worth gone in the bin. Disgusting food

Two friends had the buffet which they enjoyed. I chose from the menu as I only eat a few spicy things! Lovely food as always and friendly staff as always too. It was my friends birthday and she got the full Eastern Eye birthday experience and not for the first time either. Will definitely be back soon.

Not my first time here. An Xmas get together under covid. Sensibly managed and separated. That said, the food exactly as advertised. Modern Indian, fresh, hot and delicious with a variety of dishes to meet everyone's dietary (and spice) requirements. If you haven't been yet, go.

The best food in Devon... not found an Indian restaurant better than this in Devon... They have friendly staff great food and is by far the best in the bay... Everything well cooked... staff are friendly and the atmosphere is so nice and the restaurant has the best decoration and everything seemed to be really clean and tidy on even the busiest of night... book a table before u visit as u may not get one. The food well worth the wait..

Overall we enjoyed our meal at the Eastern eye. The food was nice, and cooked well, only complaint would be a lot of waiting around before the meal coming out and then afterwards to wait to pay. The restaurant was very busy and loud so if you are looking for a quiet meal, this probably isn't the place to go.

Great food, really tasty. We were a party of 15 and had the buffet. The staff were good and were at hand for drinks orders and to remove dirty plates.I will definitely be returning as the food was delicious.Be mindful that if you have a photo taken for a celebration there will be an additional fee.

The food was very good. A good variety available for the buffet, and at a very reasonable price.Cracking Cobra beer on draught.A set price for all you can eat buffet. Be advised, poppadom and chutney is extra cost. Naan is included in the buffet but limited to one between two people. The staff team were friendly, welcoming and very attentive.Accessible for wheelchair users. On street parking only. Toilets available, which were clean.I would recommend a visit. I'll certainly go back.

We were lucky enough to get a last minute booking at this restaurant. Decor was lovely, everywhere clean with plenty of hand gels dotted around and a one way system to the toilets. Service was great from the minute we walked in - their staff are excellent. The menu is extensive and had unusual dishes so we decided to experiment and try new dishes. We were not disappointed. Absolutely fabulous food. We eat a lot of Indian meals and were blown away by the tastiness! Would recommend if you find yourself near to Newton Abbott.

I can't rate this lovely place highly enough. From the welcome to the paying of the bill it's all just top of its game. My wife and I arrived without booking on Easter Friday on the off chance of a table and were welcomed in without any hesitation, we were surprised how big the place is and how busy it was. The whole place is spotlessly clean, even the loos! We had poppadoms with some incredibly fresh and tasty pickles while we looked through the extensive menu and loved the choices of traditional dishes. I ordered the Rajasthani Laal Maas and my wife had a Lamb Sashlik, along with a sag and aloo, garlic naan and the rice dishes. Our food arrived in good time and tasted absolutely amazing! This is without doubt one of the best meals we've ever had. The flavours were beyond anything we'd expected, so fresh and tasty. As always we over ordered and struggled to eat it all but we gave it a good go! When we'd had our fill our plates were cleared and we were given complimentary slices of oranges, it was very refreshing after the meal and we polished them off while looking through the dessert menu, wishing we had room to put one in our over full bellies! We were then treated to a complimentary shot of flaming sambuca for me and a very nice Tia Maria for my wife, the sambuca was extinguished with a magical finger click from the waiter but unfortunately I was driving so couldn't partake. When the bill arrived we were pleasantly surprised at how low it was considering the quality of the food and amazing service. Over all, a brilliant night out that I would recommend to anyone, not just a lovely meal but a fantastic experience.
