Fantastic room... very clean and the room smelt beautiful. Tha bed was the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in... Will definitely recommend it plus such a fantastic price also and and thought it was fantastic how the rooms are in a separate building to the pub. lovely staff and quiet location

Cheap and cheerful accommodation for budget travellers so it ticked the necessary boxes for our 2 night stay. Don't book a room on the weekend if you want an early night. It's a pub... so expect noise from below up to closing time. Car parking around the back. We didn't use the pub so can't rate that but I don't think they do food. We would stay there again.

Clean room. Polite staff. Nice and tidy.I didn't like that they state that there is Wi-Fi, but when you go, they say that it doesn't reach all rooms. The phone signal in the area is bad and the least they could do is buy device to extend the Wi-Fi range. The heating didn't work too.

Really disappointing. Slow and sloppy service (and it wasn't busy). Bland food, overcooked steak and a grumpy waitress who couldn't even be bothered to come back and ask if we wanted pud. This place is in a fabulous location and clearly doesn't need to try - so they've decided not to.

Excellent location for Dawlish Warren and ferry to Exmouth. The room was clean and tidy and very spacious and good parking facilities. We were made to feel very welcome and so was our puppy. Would definitely stay again

We stayed here for a night on the 9th October room lovely. My 8yr daughter was woken up by very loud music in the bar under our room at 9.15pm it was bad enough that we could hear every one in the bar. There was no breakfast even though it states on their website free breakfast, my wife is diabetic so needs to eat once she has taken her medication all I was told was there is a cafe in Dawlish that does food. We have stayed here a few times because they accept dogs but not anymore unless it changes hands again. Very very disappointed

Quite a bit wrong really. No milk for tea, no towels (had to go and ask for them), only one roll of toilet paper for a two day stay. Extension cable to table lamps didnt work. Underside of toilet seat was very dirty (don’t ask!) and the cold water tap in the sink dripped all night.Positives: Bed was comfy and clean

Hosts were very welcoming and polite and the room was imaculate. Had a wonderful night sleep will definitely stay here again.

Nearly walked on to the next pub because I thought it was a bit iffy from the front. Glad I didnt. Very clean and old worldly inside. Good choice of ales. Only gave it 4 stars as didn't eat here but it looks a decent menu.

Loved this pub ever since we moved to the village a year ago. The new owners are great, very friendly. Puppy loves it there too!! Looking forward to a great summer with live music and friends.
