Had a family meal here and the service was excellent. Our waitress was very attentive and could not have been more friendly and the food was good quality. Nice bar with plenty of parking and a great atmosphere.

Waited a while to be seated so some of the party sat them selves which I know is annoying to the hostess. The chicken and ribs combo was lovely and the spicy chips lived up to the name. Good selection of common beers. Will come again.

I have been coming to this restaurant for both work and for leisure for years. Previously I have to say I was not overjoyed but considering the staffing issues the team were great and the double crunch burger was excellent. Really nice people and have improved massively. Will come back again no doubt....

i went here on monday night , it was a really good beefeater the food was mouthwatering tasty and also the service was to die for. this location was the perfect location for it. i loved that there was a bridge from the restaurant to the premier inn. plenty of space in this restaurant and also the toilets were really clean. would pop back to this beefeater when i am next around.

What can I say. We had Christmas dinner there and a very good experience. The chefs and the staff were very good and interacted with us at all stages. The atmosphere was buzzing with a lot of happy people. The food was very and you got a lot of it as well. We'll done to the Grandstand Newton Abbot staff.

Lovely meal friendly staff. Covid safe. But I wouldn't recommend the Blue Cheese sauce. Need more on the desert menu as most out of stock.

It's your standard Beefeater Premier. That's why its 5 stars, staff are polite and helpful. Breakfast was warm and consistent, and everything was as expected! Breakfast is an insane price (very cheap) for unlimited volume.

It's a decent place, obviously, as it's a chain restaurant, the menu is the same no matter where you go. But, cheap prices and relatively quick turn around on food, plus, it's near where I live means, I can go there often when I want to eat, but, also work quietly on ideas whilst listening to music on headphones.Obviously, again, as it's a chain restaurant it will never be the best. But, on the whole, I'd say it's worthwhile.

Somewhat underwhelming. Bang for buck this just doesn't hit the mark. The food was ok, although the chicken was tough and small considering the cost. They seem to want to make up for lesser quality dishes by providing bottomless chips, this doesn't cut it. Side salad were also small, I can accept a small side salad but when that also contains wilted brown lettuce I'm afraid it's less acceptable, I struggle how a chef would let this go out. That said the flavours of the smothered chicken were great. The dish that seemed better was the fish and chips, it seemed a reasonable size with the only criticism being mushy peas that had been kept warm too long and had dried out somewhat. My daughters dish seemed a reasonable size and she enjoyed the flavours, although she mentioned some pasta was hard and uncooked, and it wasn't served with any parmesan cheese... When we asked for some we were served a tiny bowl of some mild cheese and charged 50p for it, that's something else I find mildly offensive as I believe a pasta dish should be served and you should be asked about additional cheese and ground black pepper. The layout of the restaurant is ok, nothing amazing but ok. Service was good and all but one member of staff were lovely and really helpful, a credit to the establishment. The big question, would I go again. Simply, no. The portions are too small and chips don't compensate for that. Prices are too high for the balance of portion size and the quality of the food served.

I was staying for 2 nights in the Premier Inn next door and thought I'd eat here, I walked in at 18.45 on a Wednesday and asked for a table for 1 and was told no as I hadn't booked... Just Eat it was for dinner then... I booked a table for Thursday night and had the steak which was cooked to perfection and served by a friendly, helpful waitress.
