Lovely place, very polite staff and amazing food! Carvery is always amazing, roasted potatoes and vegetables perfectly cooked! Burger was also a hit with our son. We also tried kids fish fingers and chicken nuggets that were also lovely! Calamari and mussels were the best we had in UK ! Thank you for the lovely experience ! Five stars for food and politeness! Best meal!

Daughter booked a table several weeks before wanting to go for a family group for her 40th birthday. The group was put on separate tables, baring in mind they had plenty of time to organise a table for our group. Quite a boring menu, the choice I made veg/coconut curry was pretty tasteless. Won't be rushing back here .

We love the food here...Few weeks back we enjoyed sea bass with spaghetti and cod on green lentils. The menu has an imaginative alternative to many of the eateries around Torbay. The staff are welcoming and after being a few times we decided to try the carvery (we've had 3 carvery visits now)The food was of great quality and if you were a once a year turkey eater... The turkey here will change that; moist and tender.and just the right amount.Spotting roasted beetroot also was a big draw for us.Well done Haré and Hounds... Definetly one of the best Sunday venues for a great carvery. 5*

We booked a table turned up waitress was very nice got our drinks and took our food order we was told she would let us know when chief is ready as we went for the carvery is very good service until we wanted another drink .We ended up walking to the bar and buying the next couple of drinks after watching the chief stand there not serving anyone apart from a few people that went up sporadically for an hour we called a member of staff and said when can we go up she said o straight awaySo we had been sat waiting for an hour for food that we needn't have and the roast was dry as if they had been under the heat lamp for hours not just the hour we was looking at themWhat a shame for a date night

Stopped in on the off chance they could squeeze us in for Sunday lunch, only two of us. They were busy, but said they didn't like to turn customers away. I don't usually like a carvery, bit like school dinners, but this was lovely, very tasty, definitely recommend.

For a carvery they cater pretty well for vegans. No buttery veg. Great roast potatoes. Nut roast was very soft and more like lentils but tasted fine - served with own boat of vegan gravy. Limited vegan desserts but the chocolate tart with raspberry and vegan icecream was great. No vegan keg craft ale at the bar though. Attentive and helpful service and chefs.

Excellent. Beautiful meal my husband and I both had the risotto, it was lovely and full of beautiful mussels. Pudding s were lovely as well, sticky toffee pudding was soft moist and came with plenty of toffee sauce and clotted cream. Service was also excellent and very friendly.

What a fantastic meal. The breaded whitebait starter with lemon mayonnaise was plentiful and delicious, my husband enjoyed his prawn cocktail and had already started demolishing it when I took the photo. Carvery was so tasty. We don't live near here, however if we did we would slowly make our way through the menu as there was so much choice that sounded tempting. We were too full for dessert but enjoyed eyeing up those that went past to other tables. It was obviously very busy but the staff were great, they calmly dealt with a rude customer on the table next to ours, service with a smile all the way.

We are away on holiday and this has got to be the BEST carvery and dessert I have ever eaten in my whole life!. Highly Recommend and defiantly try the salted caramel and honey comb cheese cake was delicious !!.

Stunning food, friendly staff and beautiful location! Even did us a steak on their reduced menu due to it being my father in laws birthday! I had steak and ale pie, and it was to die for!! I am never dissapointed at The Hare and Hounds! 5 stars as always!
