lovely jolly place 😍 great breakfast and great service 😀 will defo come back and enjoy the upstairs area is good weather, well done spoons 🥄

·

Very nice food and drink as well as reasonably quick service, the atmosphere was a bit chaotic and the seats were very close to the point of people banging into your chair. But overall good value for money!

Chaos, utter chaos! Is there anyone with any hospitality managerial experience running this pub? One person serving being the bar with the number of frustrated, increasingly angry customers growing before him. Orders being placed via the app we're visibly building up, too, judging by the number of people going to the bar to query the whereabouts of their order. An unacceptable number of tables on both floors were left uncleared, strewn with dirty glasses, crockery, and used napkins. The staff seemed to be wandering around aimlessly in a state of dazed confusion. Why do staff returning from serving a table do so with an empty tray? Clear a table on your way back to the bar!!

I arrived at The Jolie Brise with my family on Father’s Day to have a meal around lunchtime. I was greeted by a fairly busy establishment, but we continued to dine as we usually would here. We were informed by the Manager that there would be an estimated 30 minute wait for food, which was fine by us but clearly not for others. The staff were rushed off their feet, clearly understaffed and the management was very professional in maintaining his role very well. The food was lovely and no complaints from us. However, at this particular time there seemed to be some extremely rude and dare I say impatient and confrontational customers doing everything they can to ruin (what was meant to be) an occasional day for families. I felt deep empathy for the manager as he was being fired at from all angles with frustrated customers, yet still managed the situation in a calm, professional manner ensuring that the customer’s view was considered and that they were happy. In my view, he displayed good leadership and control in the situation.Jolie Brise is a well managed and welcoming establishment of which i will be returning to in the future with my family. Cracking efforts from the staff and Thank You 😊

Popped in a couple of times on holiday. Very welcoming staff. Exceptional value for some very good ales served at a decent temperature (who in their right mind wants it cold!). The Jolie is tucked between two side streets just a stone's throw from the train station, making it ideal for a commute from local towns. If you are in the area, you won't be disappointed if you give the place a visit.

Another amazing building and the same ambience as most Wetherspoon pubs. The service was excellent and fast and the food here on a par with other good pubs. There is a disabled toilet on ground level but I found it a bit awkward to access with my scooter because of some seating nearby. However that is something the staff were aware of and attempted to remedy.

Really disappointed. We have used this Weatherspoons on many occasions before but yesterday it was shocking. The table was filthy and I couldn’t find anyone to clean it. The food was awful. Dry overcooked and barely warm. I asked one of the staff if they did Irish coffee and they had no idea but said they would come back to me. Never saw them again.Really poor on all counts and really disappointing. Won’t be going back in a hurry.

A lovely pub on several levels, top level being the outside terrace which is a great place to sit and eat and drink in the warm weather. Food is good and drink is reasonably priced. Would definitely come again as it is perfect for families

Where do I start. Food, Great. Atmosphere, Great.Charlie, Great. End of, Charlie deserves some praise and a raise, looked after us so much which was the best service from a pub I’ve been too, Charlie. You’re a saint
