Typical pub grub really. I ordered fishcakes. I was quite surprised they looked thin not like the chunky fish cakes as you would expect. They were more like tin burgers. The price of £13 was a bit steep, but I guess everything has gone up. Pub gives you a good view of the sea and the estuary, that is what you are paying for. I am a local, and it was the first time we actually sat down and ordered food. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. It's very dark in the pub but that doesn't help with the tables being dark, if they were to change them to light tables and chairs what a difference it would make. Good place for The Tourists, that's where they will make their money, but I will go back at quieter times and maybe give it another go.

Lovely experience for an evening meal, we took both our dogs with us who were accepted without question. The table service was good & attentive, the food of good quality & not excessively priced. Will definitely visit again

Great views from roof seating area and perfect stop between our accommodation and Dawlish Warren. Typical low beam old style pub with standard menu. Food was served fast and prices were reasonable. They do a decent smaller appetite menu similar the the main menu. The food came out hot but tbh my lasagne had no flavour. The chips were cooked well and the presentation was nice.

Ordered the Cheese burger with no dressing. Got food very quickly but when I cut into the bun, it fell apart. Very dry and unable to eat. Burger seem to be a very cheap one and had no taste. Informed the waitress when she came to take the plates. Asked her to inform the manager, which she said she would do. No one came to our table to inquire our complaints. Very unprofessional.

If you have a large dog don’t bother going here for food, We reserved a table and they put us cramped up a corner. Dog was pushed behind another table, then two people turned up and we had to move him behind us and in front of another table. Yes you guessed it then they put a party of six on that table and we ended up have to put the dog back in the car and whilst doing this our food went cold.Very bad organisation and we let them know it. Don’t go here is you want a nice meal with the family and your best friend

We arrived at the pub restaurant on Easter Sunday at approx 4.00 pm - between Sunday lunch and evening service but the staff welcomed us and we were able to order from the afternoon menu. We ordered scampi chips and peas and chicken in a white wine and cream sauce with chips and peas. Both meals were totally delicious and the result was two empty plates!!! Would highly recommend a visit.

Service was slow, took a while to get anyone's attention and roast dinner was smothered in gravy - which was all very nice but would have preferred pouring gravy myself. However, they did provide extra roast potatoes when I asked. Very pleasant food, atmosphere and service - when you get it.

Prices, nice. Food, looking good for a Sunday roast spot. Staff, polite and friendly. View, amazing regardless of weather. Place used by locals and visitors to area. Friendly atmosphere.

We popped in for a drink on our way back from Dawlish Warren. The staff were friendly and it was very clean throughout. Next time we will try the B&B and the meals they do as prices look reasonable. Lovely view of the sea too.

Really friendly staff, and a genuinely beautiful view. Good menu with a range on veggie, meat and sea food. Really good cask beer offerings. Clean toilets and easy parking. Secret steps to a walkway to the beach!
