Although the current Covid rules left me a tad confused , it was definitely worth it. Delicious, good value and great undercover seating area.

Coffee was lovely, not cheap as you can imagine but as the weather was nice, we were lucky enough to sit outside. Lots of seating and spaced enough to avoid sitting near people. The staff were friendly and the place was kept clean and tidy. Went for a walk round Halden and then cane back for another drink at The Ridge Cafe.

Until today I would have given 5 stars. However, they have stopped serving from the hatch so people now have to go inside to order. There is a one way system but most people were ignoring it. Secondly there was no social distancing whatsoever and most people weren’t wearing face coverings. Thirdly when the coffee arrived it was only half a cup due to the assistant rushing and not frothing the milk enough.

Efficient and safe during Covid. Ordering point and collection point with lots of space to queue with 2 metre social distance.

Good service and food though the menu lacked some standard sandwich fillings and other light snacks. Outdoor seating area very limited and in high demand. Tables not cleaned between sittings.

Friendly and helpful staff in a very convenient café in Haldon Forest. For lunch, they have salads, burgers, wraps, jacket potatoes, soup, and more. For afternoon tea they iffee cakes, scones and biscuits. The food is no-nonsense café food. My homemade scotch egg salad with chutney and coleslaw was tasty, though with slightly too much dressing. My companion's quiche was fine but slightly rubbery through overheating. The coffee is strong! There's a lovely wooden structure outside that provides shade and protection over wooden picnic tables.
