Went there this evening for a meal with a friend. The tastiest thing on my plate was the mushroom. The chicken was overcooked & dry. Smallest onion rings ever, chips were okay. Friend had mixed grill & if didn't both have to get going for work we'd have sent it back, it was so burnt & overcooked it was dry & tasteless. The only one to enjoy it was my puppy. We definitely will not be returning there. A very long wait & it wasn't even busy.

Stopped off for lunch on the way home from Cornwall. Nice selection of food , nicely presented and great taste. Service was swift and all the staff was very helpful. All round a nice environment, good food ,good service. A1.

Friendly and helpful staff. Yummy and reasonably priced (Vegan) Cobb salad. Drinks prepared well and are refreshing in nice weather. Very relaxed outside seating area.

Visited with a group of 7 to be told no tables inside even though pub was nearly empty, sat outside had a drink but got chilly so didn’t fancy eating outside, a lovely waitress came out and asked why we aren’t inside, we explained what we were told she immediately got us a table. I was reluctant to stay and give our money to a pub who clearly didn’t want it but we were all hungry. Food was good though. But management need to ask a few questions of certain staff.

Popped in for a bite to eat at lunchtime. Not too busy, staff really friendly. Cider was nice and cool and refreshing. Ordered the sausage and mash with peas. Really tasty and hot. Couldn't fault it.

Had the beef roast on the 5th june 2022, I have had better tasting ready meal roast, most ingredients cooked from frozen for the quantity and quality and for the price toby carvery and many other pub roasts in Exeter would beat this hands down

I would say food quality matches the price range which is on the cheaper side. This is again reflected in the order at the bar setup similar to a spoons.Had a duo of roast on Sunday. Food quality was generally good, with some elements of the roast dinner were cooked and seasoned well. I would say for the duo of meats that the meat portions were fairly small. The bar area smelt strongly of waste/spilt beers and I wonder if the drip trays are emptied and cleaned enough.

First 2 attempts to order food on menu....run out....so many things not available it was easier to ask "what have you got?"Ended up with gammon and chips which was actually nice but not what I really wanted....😏Husband enjoyed his rib eye steak. All in all, ok but a bit disappointing as menu so limited .

Went to the bar to order drinks and food but was shown to a table and told someone would be over to take our order. After 20mins of being ignored we got the attention of another member of staff who told is we have to order at the bar. By this time we were thirsty and very frustrated. Then reading the menu had around 12 items that were not a available..anything with chicken, basically all the starters and the kids menu were some of the restricted items. So as u can imagine we were not happy to stay another minute to pick though the part menu after this terrible service...so we left...

5 stars everytime, came here a lot when i first turned 18, now at 24 not so much, stopped by with my father and friend this afternoon for a quiet catch up, very enjoyable as always. Served by Casey & Lydia, amazing ladies, helped us with everything. For covid reasons, the tables are spread apart which is quite nice for anyone who's worried about this.
