Where do I start?,me and my partner recently visited as we were on holiday and friends and family recommended this pub, on arrival we were welcomed by very friendly staff ,although we hadn’t booked we had the option of a see view table or one at the back of the restaurant, when ordering drinks we were told we couldn’t order food for another 30 minutes which was fine ,even when the time came we were told straight away that the Carvery was ready which we were very impressed with, all fresh and very tasty, and onto dessert this was amazing we shared a strawberry and meringue ice cream and enjoyed every bit, I will definitely recommend this place and hopefully visit in the future, thank you again for making us feel welcome and for the lovely cosy environment.

Fabulous meal!My wife and I visited here for a meal and it did not disappoint. While the carvery looked delicious, we both opted for the burger.8oz burger with monteray cheese. The burger wasn’t greasy and very meaty.Nice salad, coleslaw and burger relish to compliment the meal. The whole place was very clean and the staff courteous and friendly.I can certainly say that we will both return again.Thanks. 👍

Visited for dinner one evening when on holiday in the area and would highly recommend. I booked a table online and on the day of the booking, received an email to say that they’d lost all electricity, hoped it would be working again soon and that they would confirm later which they duly did and thankfully all was good - great communication. When we arrived, we were seated quickly, staff were really friendly and we ordered quickly. There was plenty of choice on the menu (including vegetarian options) and we all had the Carvery which was delicious. Everything was well presented and gloves given to us all to use whilst using the vegetable spoons. I have to say that the vegan nut roast was the best I’ve ever had! and the chef offered me vegetarian gravy. We all ordered desserts which were also very good. A really enjoyable evening, fantastic food, friendly staff and very reasonably priced. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this gem of a place, thank you.

Absolutely cracking place to stop for a lite bite or a substantial meal or a drink or two.If the weather is warm and even sunny you are spoilt with a great view, if you walk past the cars parked up.The sun shines brightly weather you're on the grassy area or the patio. There is a very good selection of lagers, IPAs ales as well as wines and spirits. The sandwiches are Absolutely Awesome Value they are fresh tasty and well filled. They offer excellent value for money and I recommend them most highly.Arguably the best sandwiches in Devon. There is a also a hot menu including a carvery available which is popular for sure.It might be worth booking as it is often busy inside. They have a couple of house pints in a Craft Lager and an IPA.The staff are all Brilliant and so so friendly, helpful and work hard too.Very highly recommended for sure.

OMG - bubble and squeak with cheese. The very best roast dinner ever. Fantastic food extremely clean the temperature of the food is taken every 10 minutes. What a wonderful place I will definitely be back. You are asked to wear a mask when you are near the carvery and also a glove when you are touching the utensils. I cannot rate the smugglers highly enough. Fantastic fantastic fantastic I absolutely loved it here. Great food excellent service and all very clean 10/10 brilliant

Arranged to stay overnight in our camper van when booking our table. Arrived at dark so wasn’t sure of the view but woke up to a gorgeous sunrise! Food was delicious, very friendly staff. Cat park isn’t too level but no problem in our small van.

Beautiful food with a lovely sea view.Initially we sat outside as all tables had been reserved and we popped in without booking. They had a great beer and wine selection and a full menu. The starters were well portioned and very tasty even down to the salad dressing. For the mains we all had steak which was very tasty and perfectly cooked served with salad and chips. The desserts were divine. Chocolate brownie, pavlova, and lemon cheesecake. All perfect, all rich and filling.Special mention for our waitress Ruth who saw our son was chilly and immediately offered us a table inside when they had a last minute cancellation. Her service was bright, friendly and she was lovely and chatty with our 6 year old son. All the staff were great but Ruth was exceptional. Thanks guys, next time we're in Devon we'll be along for another meal 👌🏻
