The Village Fish and Chips in Teignbridge

Had fish and chips here last night. Very prompt response from the young lady cooking who took our order.One piece of fish was definitely cooked to order the other piece of fish was already in the hot cabinet was not fresh.My fish was dry and inedible my husbands in contrast was moist.The chips were pretty poor for both of us very soggy not well cooked at all. We were very disappointed

The Village Fish and Chips. Are just great. A very busy local business that offers a great range of food and our favourite Friday night treat. Friendly staff for whom nothing is to much trouble and always jolly even when working under pressure. You won't be disappointed. Just be prepared for a short wait as there's often a lot of people at peak times. I've never had a portion of food from there that I've not enjoyed..

Absolutely top notch grub. Lovely owners. We look forward to our occasional Thursday fish and chips from here. Cooked to order. Generous portions. Fab location to eat on the bench looking at the sea.

Had scampi and chips. The chips were OK but the scampi was anything but scampi - maybe monk fish at best. You can always tell real scampi by the pink line and this was not scampi.Other than that they were doing a good job with covid distancing.

Came in with a friend this evening. Your fish and chips are incredible! I will be returning for definite! The chips were to die for, and the batter on the flaky white cod was divine! the food and owners are lovely and the food is excellent. I used to deliver to lots of chip shops in the midlands, ironically living by the sea there's not a lot of chippies with character. Or proper chip portions, go to the midlands, come back and you'll see what I mean. It's a top chip shop.

I had Scampi & Chips with Curry Sauce last night. It was fantastic. At the present time you call to place your order then collect at the time arranged, I picked a good time it was ready in 10 mins. Great food, great service, highly recommended

I was in this chippy last week. I'm Australian and don't know my left leg from a decent serving of fresh fish and chips. I was greeted with extremely warm hospitality and a good laugh. The drinks in the fridge were cool, the cod was golden crisp and the chips perfectly fried. You want to know about service?
