My very good friend treated us to Afternoon Tea today and it was amazing! The food could not be faulted and the choice of sandwiches and cakes were stunning. The service was exceptional and the staff were so friendly and helpful and went out of their way to make sure we were looked after. What a lovely place to visit!

This place is a hidden gem in a beautiful location, I recently booked afternoon tea for myself and 3 friends, after calling up and spoke to the lady that owned it she was very helpful and just outlined what food was included, when we turned up on the sat for our afternoon tea we had the best table upstairs with a large window in front with an amazing view of the beautiful countryside. Our table was all beautifully laid out and then they brought up two 3 tier trays with a large selection of sandwiches, quiches, sausage rolls and a selection of of miniature cakes plus scones with jam and cream.I really didn't expect the selection we received it was amazing with unlimited tea and coffee. Also all the staff were very professionalfriendly and extremely helpful It was so nice to just go to a place which is warm and cosy and you feel like your at home. I would highly recommend this lovely restaurant with the amazing delicious food and amazing staff. We will definitely be back.If I could give it more than 5 stars I would give it ten.Hidden out of the way but well worth the journey.Thankyou so much we had a lovely afternoon.

The Tearooms are newly decorated in a contemporary style, whilst maintaining the original features. A chilled out, friendly atmosphere. Child friendly. Dogs welcome outside, on a lead. Great menu with wonderful food, choice of teas and coffees. Just sampling the new menu, but the lemon cake was to die for and the lovely cooked breakfast was a good size. Our new favourite place.

A beautiful little cafe/restaurant with some space inside, but more importantly, a beautiful walled garden out the back with tables dotted throughout. A relatively simple menu (see the pics attached) but great quality and good sized portions of food. The home made pies are great. Well worth a visit.Edit: it's 2021, and it's still as good as ever! Great food at really reasonable prices Ina lovely setting. Great service, too.

I decided to make a trip here after reading a recommendation in Devon Life and boy is it nice this beautiful cottage with its walled garden is a definite must do. Located in the village of Dunsford a few miles from Exeter. We came here for afternoon tea parking out on the road we entered the cottage and walked through to the garden very picturesque tables are spaced out in little hidden areas we were given a warm welcome and ordered a ham sandwich to share my wife wanted a homemade cake and me well its got to be the Devon scone cream and jam we were not disappointed it was delicious (jam on top) my wife had a mint tea and I had normal tea we could easily have stayed all afternoon so I ordered another pot beautiful place will definatley be back they also do lunches.

What a lovely place to stop for some lunch - the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was nice and the garden gorgeous! Well worth a trip out - would recommend.

Delicious! And garden is lovely to sit in (and covered!). Great extensive menu and everything I ate was so good. Definitely get a scone and don't forget to put cream on first 😋

The food was very nice, had Sunday roast for a birthday celebration. However, the service could have been a lot better. One of our party had to go find a waitress to get some drinks and get menus after sitting for 20 minutes. Had a sense that they were very busy and asking for service was an inconvenience. As a customer did not come away with a sense of being a priority. This could have been down to inexperience of the staff.

A wonderful place to come and be...to stay B&B or pop-in and be refreshd. In the midst of the walled garden are flowers, shrubs, bird's nd the sounds of nature. You can come join a table here or inside the cottage, the choice is yours.. but please do choose to discover it, a place to enjoy a Devon Cream Tea and so much more..

Lovely hidden garden. Huge portions of homemade food all around £8-£9 for mains. Friendly staff and great service.
