Longford Inn in Tewkesbury

Nice sunny Monday afternoon sat outside with fish, chips and mushy peas, we were greeted by a very happy and bubbly member of staff, no draft Guiness though due to the aftermath of the races so opted for a pint of Doom Bar which wasn't a bad second best, overall a great experience 👍

Service was good but "triple cooked chips" were barely cooked at all. Waitress explained this wasnt the first time! No apology received or attempt to correct situation so wont be going back.

Typical Sunday evening with not enough staff, so those working rushed off their feet and very stressed. Poor management who are not prepared to put in correct staffing at a weekend.Apart from that, the girls that waited on us were superb, cheerful and good fun. Many thanks for your hard work.

Can't thank the staff enough, all so lovely and friendly. We we're a group of 11,friends meet up with a 5 and 3 year old, of which the staff we're so lovely with them. The food was all great too. Highly recommend this place.

Beautiful and tasty food, warm and friendly atmosphere.

A lovely dining experience, good food cooked well, (calamari was very disappointing tho). Waitress was bubbly we didn't have pudding but brought a birthday cake with us, dishes and spoons were made available to us as was a lovely jug of cream. I was somewhat apprehensive after reading some of the comments, but ours was a good experience and a lovely time was had by all including the birthday girl. Thank you

Shocking !!!Arrived at 7.45 am With 8 colleagues for a breakfast.Restaurant virtually empty.To be told rather abruptly by the lady on reception “we have no room”.I pointed at all the tables to be told “they are booked”When I replied“From 8.30 till the end of breakfast”I pointed out me and my colleagues had to be at work for 8.30.So they would still have all the tables ready.I got the impression the staff member just didn’t fancy the work of serving 8 people.I guess that’s easy when it’s not your business and you are just paid by the hour.In that case you don’t really care if you serve 2 people, you are still getting paid.So after this interesting start to the day we went to a local cafe where the owner was more than happy to have 8 of us order full English.And as I was paying I saved about £30 on the bill.The Longford is not even cheap.And after the total non centric approach to customer service they gave Also lost out on my entire staff going there as as thanks for a great year in January28 x £35 a headBut the lady on reception won’t worryShe’ll still get her hourly payReading your reviewsI think a full “drains up” approach is needed on just how bad this place is from staff to foodBest wishes

We went for my partner's birthday, without booking. Staff were all very welcoming. My partner mentioned that it was his birthday and Cailin, our waitress, went and dug out some candles for his desert sundae as a little surprise. She came with our desserts with candles lit and a colleague to say happy birthday to him. It's was such a lovely, genuinely nice thing for her to do, we didn't ask for it and it made the meal much more special than even the best food.The food was nice, but Cailin, you and your mate really made it that extra bit special. Thank you so much 😊

The food at the Longford was good and tasty and is 5 stars, the staff were attentive and very helpful. The reason for the rating was lack of items on the menu, due to lack of supplies (no fault of the longord staff) the menu was limited. I did feel for the staff having to face off the publicGood luck with supplies next time

The evening meal was very good, pleasant environment and good staff. It was a safe place and a good evening. Breakfast was actually excellent. Slight change to normal for the chain and it was better than normal. No problems at all and will return.
