What a find, the landlady is warm and a welcoming host, amazing food, the pub cosy just an amazing dining and pub experience. if in the area again would happily return.

Fantastic welcome and great food. Fish and chips were great large chunky chips, crisp on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside, accompanied with delicious crispy battered fish.Recommended fantastic stop for lunch

Very good pub with tasty food. We ordered roast chicken, chicken pie and it was amazing. The skin was crispy and puey lentils were well cooked. Pre-booking is recommended as it can get very busy. Parking spaces available exactly opposite to the pub.

This is a well attended local pub for local people who welcome visitors warmly. The food is fab and home made, the beer and wine well kept and a great selection of spirits especially whisky which I enjoyed, thank you 🙂

Great cosy pub with lots of character. Delicious food which is well priced (we'd reccomend the toasties for lunch). Great host - very attentive and friendly.

Strange experience all round. We booked for 6, the door was locked till 6. The staff seemed disorganised behind the bar, talking amongst themselves who was going to do what.The landlady took our order before we sat outside (there wasn't a kids' menu so all under 18s were offered pizza) and wanted paying upfront so we wouldn't have to keep track of tabs. Then on our way out, she asked if we'd paid!Aside from the disorganisation and apparent scatterbrained mood, the food was great 👍. I had pea risotto and my husband had the burger, which came in a black bun but he said was delicious. I would have loved to have a pud - there was a good selection - but our toddler was acting up.

Thank you for a welcoming experience and comfortable stay over the weekend. The beds are lovely and provided a good nights sleep. Our bathroom was large and had a bath or shower cubicle which was great to have the choice of both. But the landlady went above and beyond with her service, even tracking us down at a local festival to return a kindle that was left after we had checked out. Exceptional service, would defiantly recommend and return for another stay when in the area.
