We booked a celebratory birthday meal for 4 . We arrived at 1.45 for 14.00 booking . Ordered drinks and was shown to table . This was as good as it got . 1 hour later we were told dinner would be 5 mins . After a further 20 mins we were then told no roast potatoes , joy we were offered mash and extra Yorkshire pudding . To his credit Giles then offered us a free pudding each which we accepted . What food we has was good but our celebration was ruined by the lack of ROAST 🥔 🥔 🥔 🥔 🥔

Sister-in-law placed a booking in January 2022 for up to 7 to 9 members of her family, some of whom were travelling up from South East, for a meal to celebrate her 60th. Booking was for today, 13:00 March 13th 2022.Arrived at the pub to find it shut.Notice on the door stating the staff were taking a well deserved holiday.Doesn't seem to have been any attempts, that can be found, to contact my sister-in-law to advise of this change or cancel the booking. If this is how the new management operate then this is such a shame. The pub was a firm family favourite under the previous managements, going back 10's of years. My family; for one, won't be booking meals or visits to this establishment again if this is an example of customer service.Family taken their business to The Swan Inn Coombe Hill, where we know we'll get a good welcome, courteous service and good honest food.

Great food, really good value for money , very friendly staff and dog friendly

Amazing service, really friendly staff, great quality food, cosy fire, and mostly attended by locals which is always a good sign. Couldn't fault it. Thanks Farmer's Arms 😊

It was ok, but surprisingly for a pub they didn't have any Rioja and a limited choice in beer. Whether delivery issues were the cause was unknown. The food was again OK, but the staff were helpful and cheerful. It was not an unpleasant experience and I would go again.

Steak was very thin and dry. Seemed to be a very basic supermarket steak and not a thick cut from a local butcher which I would expect from a country pub at £22.Staff were friendly but the service was average, did have to remind about drinks orders more than once. Great selection of beer though. Will return but I hope the food improves before then.

The Farmers Arms is one those old pubs with lots of character and lovely views. The pub has seating outside and the customer service was very polite and nothing was too much trouble. The steak was outstanding both with presentation and taste. I thought the peppercorn sauce outstanding and the chips were very crispy. I would recommend this pub to my friends.

We only wanted a light lunch and chose the homemade scotch eggs with chips and salad! The scotch eggs were the best we’ve ever eaten and I even make them myself. The desserts we so tempting as it’s not often there are gluten free options available in restaurants. I chose the vegan chocolate brownie with ice cream and my husband had an Eaton Mess. We were not disappointed. The seating was ample and the chairs were delightfully upholstered. The Farmers Arms is a little jewel.
