We booked a meal here as we had arrived at the local camping and caravanning club earlier in the afternoon. We were warmly welcomed and shown to a table in this delightful old pub. The food was amazing! We ordered the Cheddar Gorge burger and the Cajun salmon salad and they were both perfectly cooked and so tasty. We followed up with a sticky toffee pudding and a couple of scoops of ice-cream filled by lattes. Not cheap food but well worth the money as the food is cooked to order and it shows. Can't praise it highly enough and although they were busy the service was delightful.

The food was alright, although the fish batter was too fatty and the pie was a bit dry. The service was good.

We have just spent a week in Alderton and loved the Gardeners Arms. Wendy and Co were so welcoming and the food was great. We must have eating in there most days and every meal was fresh and delicious. The Roast was one of the best roasts I have ever tasted. Our dog Buddy loved his doggy meals too! A nice touch for dogs. We will be back again for sure. X

My husband and I popped in for a pit stop lunch while doing the Alderton circular walk while staying at Dumbleton Hall hotel. We were warmly welcomed by Dan the restaurant manager. He was super friendly and attentive to our needs. The food was delicious. We had a very enjoyable lunch and would highly recommend. Thank you!!!

It was ok, thought Β£20 for a pie was steep and very odd they don't do coke on tap, only plastic bottles. The service was very good, the young girl was very lovely but I just thought that overall it was very pricey for no reason. My partner has the pork special which was average. I did like the way they treated my dog, just the food that let them down really.

Great food in a lovely location. We've been numerous times and are never disappointed and always get great service. Dog friendly, variety on the menu and have the option of the beautiful beer garden in the summer! The best thing... it's an independent pub. Support local!

The two staff where exception hosts and couldn't be more accommodating for our little pup. Super friendly! The main reason we went was for our dog but the staff make this place a must return. Thankyou for a lovely Friday night.

A very nice village pub. Plenty of parking. Nice interior with some interesting pictures and items about Alderton from years gone by. Friendly staff, quick service and a very good hot chiabata sandwich π₯ͺ of chicken π and bacon π₯ with chips and a cup of coffee.

We're a vegan couple with a dog and this place ROCKS on all accounts! We can't wait to come back in an evening and try the Smokey Squash Sausage & Vegan Meatball Calzone! Perfectly kept local real ale too. Heavenly and eager to please! Update:added photo of Calzone. IT WAS DELICIOUS! π
