Fancy new make over but still the same old rude clueless staff, kitchen hardly ever open. Looks good but that's it.

First visit since reopening yesterday.. Definitely won't be the last. Atmosphere lively, staff very helpful and food was really really good. Went as a family four adults and 5 children and every plate cleared. Says it all. Mixed clientele but everybody very welcome. New decor was as good as photos if not better.

Used to be a regular on a Monday, pre-Covid, when travelling over to Cheltenham from Swindon to play skittles. Always had a meal and a drink and appreciated the availability.Most unimpressed to find out that they no longer do food on a Monday or Tuesday.Almost worse, a pub with no WiFi!!!On Enquiry I was told "We don't have WiFi for customers"Great piece of customer service, that!So this one customer and wife who will not be calling in at this establishment again.

Fantastic place, middle of winter to the sun cracking the flags the Oak is a cracking pub, lovely bar food, restaurant for inside dining. Outside the garden is nice and there’s a facility for birthdays (we hired it) etc. Granted I’m bias because it’s only a short walk from home.

Stopped here for drinks on a cycle ride, good selection of drinks and great service

Popped in for lunch on a Saturday, quick and friendly service and the food was great quality and well presented. I had the cod goujon wrap and my husband had the classic cheese and bacon burger. Would definitely return for a main meal in the future
