I hate leaving bad reviews so will start with good points staff are friendly and welcoming and coffeoe and cake were nice, ordered a sandwich which we were told was an hours wait which we were ok with but after 50 minutes a lady came out and said sorry but they had run out of cheese clearly not prepared for a busy day which is ridiculous also heard them saying they had also ran out of brie

Always love a walk along the canal, especially on a bright sunny afternoon, and to pop into The Stables for a hot coffee or tea accompanied by a piece of cake. The banana 🍌 crumble cake is especially good. Always very clean and the staff are very pleasant. It's also very popular and busy, so pick your times carefully. I don't think you'll be disappointed if you visit. We've always enjoyed our visits. It's also dog friendly with bowls and the almost obligatory dog friendly ice cream. Our pooch certainly enjoyed hers and at £2.10 (Feb 2022) it's not going to break the bank either.

Popped in for lunch. The kids food couldn't really fault, toasties were good and easy choice, but the chicken was some sort of pulled shredded chicken whxih was either re heated or straight from a packet. Coffee/latte was also average mor elite instant with bit of foam on top.. Maybe next time will get one of the special salads or something and a tea

Cosy, plenty more tables upstairs as well as outside and on the balcony. Decent food, snacks and pub type lunches. Menu could be clearer - just a chalk board on the wall in small writing part hidden by folk sitting in front! Friendly prompt service even when busy though.

Good location at Saul Junction with many walks and view of canal boats. Good variety of hot food and cakes. Muddy boots must be left outside.

Despite all the bad reviews Naomi, the staff did you proud. Hannah was very welcoming and friendly and one of our group has an aversion to garlic so they checked the ingredients of 3 items to make sure. Very helpful. All food was good, the chutney and beef stew are worth an extra special mention. Lots of seating on 2 floors although you do have to pay for parking £2.50 for 4 hours. Position is excellent near Saul Junction on the canal network and beautiful houses in Frampton on Severn. Plenty of walks available.

Been here many times after long bike rides and walks. Lovely setting. Food is really good and the staff very polite and helpful. Had a full brekky with my daughter here this morning and it was purfect. Even my daughter ate all her food and that's pretty rare. Highly recommended.

Lovely place next to the Gloucester canal. Great food. Very well worth a visit.

Terrible. The ohot on the website must be a library picture. The reality is very different. Rude, unpleasant, no idea about coffee or hygiene.
