First time visit and went for the father's day breakfast. Generally pretty good and staff polite but was a little lost as to how it all worked. On ordering at the bar was asked to take a seat anywhere. After a short while realised no waiting staff were coming to take order followed some others over to a counter where various breakfast items were out and it was essentially just a free for all to grab (I presume) what you wanted. There was no staff manning this breakfast counter so was all a little confusing. Would be worth staff asking if you've been before or acknowledge when you tell them you've not been so don't know how it works and to be advised what to do. Other thank this was overall a good experience.

Nice Sunday lunch! Very good value for money! Well prepared & good quality food.Nice surroundings & nice polite staff.Good pint of doom bar ale. All in all a nice experience. Would definitely recommendAnd use again.

There was no Turkey available and there was not a great choice of vegetables, Leyla the waitress was very pleasant and helpful. We enjoyed the meal and would go again. You get what you pay for, value for the cost.

Having previously eaten at this restaurant many times before, I can only describe the experience yesterday as disappointing. The staff behind the bar were great interacting with us & our son who is 12 - they spoke to him directly about his drink order. Then it went downhill. The person carving the meat was too busy chatting with his colleague about his pending week off.The portion size of the meat given to all of our party of 6 was minuscule despite having plenty of meat available. This was just poor. I appreciate your costs have increased regarding raw ingredients but the sliver of turkey & gammon given to each of our party was ridiculous.Yorkshire puddings were so large that they took up half the plate, probably to disguise that servings of meat were minuscule.Good selection of vegetables but as always the larger potatoes were hard in the middle - I always seek out the smaller roast potatoes for this reason. The waitress asked if our meal was ok but didn’t hang around long enough to check and then was nowhere to be seen when we needed more drinks, which meant that we had to go to the bar ourselves whilst our food got cold. Not likely to be rushing back

Bit busy today but it's a Sunday. Had to wait 10 minutes for a table to be available even though we had booked, but it didn't bother us. Went for the carvery, had to line up in the queue mind but that's pretty normal as we've been here in the past. Great service as usual and the Sunday roast is good value.

Seated very quickly despite not booking. All of the food was fresh and piping hot! It wasn't very busy but we had to wait quite a while and eventually went in search ourselves to pay the bill, one star taken off for that.

Came here last week as a party of 5. Friendly welcome and service and 4 meats to choose from on the carvery. A nice selection of hot vegetables. We all enjoyed our meals. My only issue (hence a star deduction) was that 3 of the party ordered a diet coke. They only had 1 small glass each and I was charged ÂŁ3.30 per glass - ÂŁ9.90 for 3 small cokes. Apparently you can top up your glass for free. We did not know this and the waitress did not inform us of this and whether there was an option to pay for only a small coke without the top up. So none of the 3 had a top up (although we had unwittingly paid for this). None of them would have wanted a top up either. I think this needs pointing out when you order. "Do you want the "top up" coke or just 3 glasses?" Our time was very limited and the venue was busy (half term) and as we came for a carvery we did not look at the menu but ordered drinks and went to the carvery without sitting down at our table first. Perhaps if we had had more time and had looked at the menu we might have seen about the drinks?

Raffle ticket number: 315Had a lovely meal here this evening, our waitress Chloe D went that extra mile for myself and my partner, great customer service from herself and one of the cooks, so sorry I didn't catch his name.these two members of staff are happy to help and very friendly people while making your dining experience that little bit more like a family meal.the manager is also very keen to know if something isn't quite right and is quick to solve any issues.all in all we have always come to this branch of Toby as the food is always spot on and fresh a big thank you to Chloe, the chef and the manager

Hubby and I went for my birthday meal with our daughter and son in law. The service was a bit on the slow side but the waiting staff we very friendly. Hubby and I both had the Yorkshire wrap, having had them previously at the Toby at Over and thoroughly enjoyed them...sadly on this occasion they were very greasy so we only ate the meat and additional items from the carvery. We did all leave feeling very full but I wouldn't choose this venue for a celebration in the future.

Always enjoy going here and worth the money you are paying. Have found that you have to wait for someone to notice you when getting meat but other than that we’ve always had really good service. Staff were really good when we put in a minor complaint to the point it didn’t bother us by the time we left.My only issue (biggest reason for not giving 5 stars) is the toilets. Myself and my partner wont use the toilets there even if desperate as they are disgusting. On multiple occasions I have found that I couldn’t even go in there because the smell by the toilet entrance was bad enough to put me off. Everywhere else seems to be quite clean but the toilets are enough to put you off your food.
