Bay Spice in Torbay

I ordered food and was told that it would be delivered within the hour. 1 and a half hours later and it still wasn’t delivered. I called to query where it was and they said it was out for delivery and would be there within 5 minutes. 15mins later and still no delivery. Another 10mins and still nothing.I called again and they weren’t apologetic, they clearly forgot my order and just begged me not to give them a bad review.No food even turned up at all!!!Not a great impression and won’t be using again.Everyone has now gone hungry because of this terrible service.

Items missing from order. Rest was cold. Worst chicken tikka masala ever had in 38 years. Keema nan uneatable. Very poor quality. Manager very rude and refused to rectify anything. AVOID !!!

Lovely delicious meal and lovely attentive service from a very friendly elderly gentleman. We also met the chef so we could compliment him on his food.

Had a delivery on Friday, arrived at the correct time, food was excellent, generous portions, the best take away!

This restaurant is a real find, a real treasure trove. Very friendly staff, the chef came out for a chat and discussed the food. Now, the food! Absolutely delicious, fresh, tasty and prepared to perfection. If it's not on the menu the chef will prepare. Very good prices. We were in Torquay for a couple of days but visited this place twice. Highly recommended.

The man that greats is worth the extra star. Customer engagement from yesteryear. Chicken tikka jalfrezi is what I ordered. Chicken was tender and was tasty. Sauce was full of oil and tasted like it was from a jar.Saying that I ate it all. I have ordered from just about all the takeaways in Torbay. Average is the verdict.

Having worked in an Indian takeaway before, I thought I would try out the local curry house as I am new to the area. Collected my Takeaway, came home and the first thing I noticed was that the salad was not fresh, brown leaves so It went straight into the bin, The food itself was Oily and bland, poured a lot of reddish oil into the bin and the food itself lacked in flavour. gave up eating after a few mouthfuls and binned the rest. Probably wont be coming back .

Had a delivery from them last night. Prompt service, arrived when the restaurant said it would. Chicken biryani was exceptional, keema nan lovely. Will defo order from there again.

Honestly one of the worst Indian take aways I've had, oily I'm not actually able to tell which curry is which the flavours don't match anything I have ordered or cooked in the past. There were two hairs in our food. Only good thing was it was hot when it got here but I will not be ordering again.

The best Indian restaurant in torquay, this restaurant is an absolute hidden gem. I've eaten in many, and the food here is outstanding as well as the kind and hospitable owner. I would reccomend anyone in the area visit for a warm and inviting venue where customer service is paramount along with excellent intimate dining, and beautiful tasting Indian cuisine. Tonight we both had the best Indian meal we have had in a long time. Thanks for a great experience, will visit here many more times in the future. Support great local businesses.
