Bombay Express in Torbay

Disappointing, would not recommend - we ordered through UberEats, had to wait hour and half for delivery, despite reassurances that it was on its way and was underwhelming when it arrived: v watery burnt tasting dhal, dried bhajis, under spiced curry mixes, minute prawns. Naans and poppadums ok.

They have loyalty program when you register on their app; points you can use for dine-in/takeaway/delivery. Fav food would be Jalfrezi, Lamb Madras and Dal. Service team are very friendly.

Tried a curry for the first time as I had read the reviews, unfortunately I was disappointed. The curry was very bland and tasteless, portions were good but overall I will not be using again

Been going to this restaurant for over 20 years albeit under many different owners over the years. But we tried to book a table for 8 of us over the Christmas break and they asked if anyone in the party was u fee 11 years old. I explained we have a 3 month old but she will likely be sleeping in her pram the whole time. I was told the owner does not allow children under 11 any longer in the restaurant. I could not believe this so asked to speak to the Owner who of course was unavailable to come to the phone. I enquirer what was the reason for this and was told it was not the type of cliental we want in our restaurant!

Amazing food, we usually get it to Takeaway but dinned in and were not disappointed. The staff were great and made our experience a pleasant one. We regularly drive thirteen ish miles to get our food here.

Nice Indian restaurant with a modern contemporary feel. That being said we felt rather rushed throughout the dining experience. The food was very tasty but not awesome or inspiring. The best part of the meal was the latte coffee. Need some tongs for the sugar lumps though, serving with fingers isn't really upto scratch these days.

One of the best meals I’ve had in a while. The staff was super friendly and helpful and the menu was incredible. Our starter, the Bao Buns, was one of the best dishes I’ve had. Super happy with the inclusive Vegan options. 10/10 for us, we’ll be back soon!

Excellent Indian! Top marks from the 4 of us that visited. Staff were very friendly. The Lamb and Chicken dishes we ordered were sublime. Wish I lived close enough to visit here more often.

Visited Bombay Express whilst on holiday in South Devon with our two teenage kids. We have been to many Indian Restaurant’s and Bombay Express was excellent. Food was fresh and full of flavour. Service was efficient and the seating area was modern and vibrant. Would definitely recommend and will certainly return when we next visit.

Really nice Indian restaurant. Couldn't fault the food which was excellent. Quick effecient service all the staff helpful and friendly. Onion bhaji was excellent. If you fancy Indian food in Torquay this is the place to go
