Brixham Fish Takeaway & Restaurant in Torbay

We decided to eat in the restaurant which is located upstairs.The is soft drinks wines and ale and lager available.There is a Children's menu available too.The cod you can have large or normal.The large cod is huge and the batter is very light.Curry sauce and gravy available too.The portion of large cod and chips was huge. The standard portion was also plentiful the old man went for the deal with peas and like me could not eat it all.That said it was great value for money and hot and tasty.If you are lucky enough to get a window seat you will get a great view over Brixham harbour.Takeaway is also available from the downstairs fish and chip shop.An excellent place to visit for your fish and chips and a very generous portion.

There are a fair few chippies to choose from in Brixham, so choose wisely!We decided on this one because my parents use it. The service was good and pricing was fair. We actually shared 1x large chips between 3 of us (two adults + 2yr old) with 2x portions of chicken nuggets and it all worked out good!Also had a curry sauce and a pickled egg plus drinks.We managed to get a table outside, I’d say they would benefit from a few more chairs but nothing much room when it’s peak season. Views over the harbour make it a nice place to eat.The food was good, chips probably about right for most tastes - I prefer mine a bit more greasy but I know a lot don’t do can’t knock it for that!

This would have been 5 stars as this was the best fish I have had from a chip shop, the batter was thin and not greasy at all. It has only dropped a star as the chips were not properly cooked and even after a second frying were still a bit firm. Mushy peas were good as well.

Great fish and chips. Can provide gluten free batter too, which I need. It was delicious. Can highly recommend.

We went at the start of our holiday, and had the best fish (Haddock and Cod) we have tasted for years, so much so we made a point of going again before we went home.The batter on the fish was so light and grease free and the fish thick and succulent, chips and peas were great too and good helping in their specialWe were served by smiling friendly staff, who were very efficient and helpfulWe managed to get a window seat both times, and get the harbour view.Super value

Best fish and chips in Brixham hands down, stopped here a couple of times now and the food is always top notch. Takeaway chippy downstairs and a surprisingly large restaurant upstairs with lovely views over the harbour. We will be back!

This has to be the best fish and chips ever!We come every year and we are never disappointed. Generous portions and everything is cooked to perfection. The prices are fantastic, I had to question that we had been charged enough.The staff are so friendly and helpful and if you're lucky you can sit by the window overlooking the harbour.This is a definite if you love fish and chips!

Best Fish & Chips IN THE WORLD! We both had a large cod n chip which was a mistake because it was colossal! Even a big greedy guts like me couldn’t polish it off. The batter was crisp and light and just melted in your mouth and the cod was really fresh and meaty. The chips were proper big chips with just a nice amount of oil residue on the last few, but then if you want healthy get a salad.The price was good considering it’s at the seaside, same as our home chip shop unlike other more “contemporary” fish n chip shops near by which quite frankly took the mushy peas out of the price. Never feel ashamed about walking out of a place if you think it’s too expensive.This is hands down the best fish n chips I’ve had.

If you're feeling hungry you should visit here, definitely more for your money. The picture shows the chef's special so this wasn't even the biggest fish they did. Very quick service but waiting to be served for another drink was just not happening, had to grab any of the girls as they flew through the floor as no eye contact made.

The best fish and chips I've ever had and I've lived on the coast all my life. Absolutely delicious. The portions are huge - definitely don't order the large fish unless you're a really big eater! Kids portions were also very generous and my usually picky daughter loved the (giant!) fish fingers, chips and beans. Can't recommend highly enough and we will be going regularly now we've found this gem. I'd give more stars if I could!
