Bull & Bush in Torbay

The service, food and atmosphere was very good and 5 of us had a very pleasant afternoon.

I had Christmas Day dinner at the Bull & Bush and the whole day was an exceptional experience. Upon arrival I was greeted by very warm, welcoming and friendly staff. I had time for a couple of drinks before being shown to my table at 12.30. As soon as I was seated my starter arrived and the rest of my courses followed in the same efficient manor. There was no waiting around or awkward pauses for certain things to arrive. The food itself was full of flavour, tasty and above all hot. Portions was of the right amount and I certainly finished the meal feeling extremely full and satisfied. Congratulations to All the staff for an excellent experience and I would certainly, not only do it again next year, but encourage other people to to take up the Bull & Bush Christmas Day dinner experience.

The table setting was excellent and the manager was very good. The food was very average but not sure what you can do about this . Unfortunately the pub was open to others besides the diners and we had a bad experience with an intoxicated man who kept coming up to our table to talk to us. This became very uncomfortable and could have caused a problem. Because of this we left earlier than we wanted. Maybe in future you should think about closing the pub to others than the diners. We had come down to Torquay for the Christmas period and this soured our trip.Please can you respond to this.

The outside needs TLC but don’t let that put you off as inside was worth the visit! Staff were friendly,Always smiling and the Food was great quality and good selection to choose from! I’ll definately be back

Had great fish & chips on the first night and the restaurant section was full. Good sign of good service however, the guy serving tables needs to learn to pull his trousers up. Walking around half-mast showing off his red underpants. Enough to put anyone off there food.

Really friendly staff with great food and beer, I recommend the Hunter Chicken or the Chicken and Leek pie with mash and veg.

Nice pub, amazing food, biggest burger id ever eaten and was so cheap, think it was £8.60 , When the bill arrived, 2 of these burgers and 4 pints only came to less than £23. Gave a generous tip then realised I'd been undercharged by 2 pints. Being very honest and not wanting the business to be short changed, I volunteered to go to the bar and pay the extra £7.10. Barely got a thank you for my honesty, not taking into account of the generous tip, they took the money and that was that. Due to that I can only give 4 stars and wish I'd have stayed quiet and not tipped, would have been £12 richer

Friendly pub with lots of special offers throughout the week. On a Thursday you can enjoy two meals and a bottle of wine for £20.Fridays you get a free drink with your fish and chips purchase. Most nights there's an offer on and Thursday is quiz night.We enjoyed a game of darts and the bar staff kindly provide the darts. Other games include the pool table which is 50p per game. There's also a few gaming machines and plenty of little nooks and crannies.Outside the back is a decent beer garden. Worth a look.
